Velja lets you to open links in specific browser or browser profile, switch between browsers effortlessly, and directly launch desktop apps for specific websites, like opening Zoom links in the Zoom app. It enhances privacy by stripping tracking parameters from URLs and allows for the creation of advanced rules, such as opening links from certain apps in a specific browser. Velja is not able to handle links clicked inside a browser. However, Velja comes with a Safari extension which you can enable in the Safari settings. You can then click the toolbar icon to open the current page with Velja or right-click a link to open it with Velja. You can find extensions for other browsers on the app's website. Cut and paste files and folders in Finder using Command+X and Command+V. Without this app, you have to first copy (Command+C) and then remember to move (Option+Command+V). You simply set up the app once and it runs in the background. The moving of files and folders are handled by Finder. The app just intercepts cut and paste commands when Finder is in the front and then simulates copy and move commands. If you don't paste after cutting, nothing happens and the files stay in place. It also works with the ForkLift app. Limitation: You cannot cut the name of a file when editing a filename in Finder or cut when using the search field. There is no way for the app to work around this.

Final Cut Pro v12 transcribes your source clips, which is useful, but you can’t see them directly, so have to know what to search for. 2. You can’t send transcripts to your clients, so they can tell you the parts of an interview they want to use. 3. Final Cut Pro only transcribes in English. ScriptStar solves all these problems at once: 1. Import your clips into a Final Cut Pro library as usual, and organize them into events if you like. 2. Launch ScriptStar, as an app, or from the Final Cut Pro Workflow Extension menu, then drag your Library into its drop zone. 3. If you like, choose the events you want to process, then proceed. 4. At this point you can replace any of the built-in transcripts by dragging in SRT files that match the names of any of your existing clips, or creating new transcripts in ScriptStar. This is great for foreign languages, or if you’ve had clips transcribed or edited by humans. Your data never leaves your Mac, and you can choose between different transcription models and control line length of ScriptStar's output. (Want one-word SRT files? No problem.) 5. After local transcription (or SRT replacement(,) you can continue, and data will be sent back to FCP. 6. Final Cut Pro now has the named favorites, but there’s one more optional step with ScriptStar. If you want to send you clients a timed transcript, so they can highlight the most important phrases in interviews, you can now export a CSV for Numbers or Excel, a Word doc, a PDF, or separate SRT caption files. Save these, send them to clients, and just ask them to highlight any lines they really like or really hate. 7. Back in Final Cut Pro, look for the events with the star in the name, and twirl each clip’s disclosure triangle to see every line of transcribed dialogue. Select the lines you want and drag or tap E to add them to a timeline. Final Cut Pro’s search still works, but if you want to search through the transcribed favorites, choose Favorites in the Clip Filtering menu in the Browser, to see each line on its own. Transcripts are usually pretty accurate, and because pauses aren’t transcribed, you can skip the pauses by selecting all the favorites and adding them to a timeline. ScriptStar can also be used independently of Final Cut Pro. You can drag in audio and video files from the Finder, then transcribe them as usual. If you export a finished timeline from Final Cut Pro and transcribe it with ScriptStar, you can re-import than SRT file to FCP to let you edit, retime and correct any mistakes before your final export.
