We've made AlpinQuest more powerful and reliable in the field — a comprehensive update focused on 3D terrain, offline use and precise coordinate systems. 3D Terrain Map The 3D terrain map can now be selected as a map layer. All your data in 3D: targets, routes, measurement routes, areas and track recordings. Tap targets/routes to view their details, long-press to add a target. Draw a route on the 3D map. Live track recording in 3D, in real time. When a mission starts, the map rotates like a compass, focuses on the start point, with a live character at your location. Pitch (tilt) control, center crosshair + bottom data panel (elevation/speed). Download the 3D map offline — download the visible area, manage downloaded regions. New Coordinate System India DSM (WGS 84 / India NSF LCC) support — in the position readout, map bar, coordinate search and target info cards. Works fully on-device. Reliability & Offline Connection-aware offline maps — tiles are fetched when online, downloaded tiles appear instantly when offline. Track recovery — if the app closes during recording, the unfinished track is detected on reopen. 2D Map & iOS The compass screen was redesigned; live character at your location during a mission, "end target" badge.
