Diff Anything is a file comparison and diff tool for Mac. Compare folders, text, code, PDFs, Word and Excel documents, images, archives and structured data side by side, review every change and merge what you need. Everything runs on your Mac. A screen-reader workspace for VoiceOver reads each difference as its location, its change and both values, and lets you step through, review and apply changes from the keyboard. MERGE WITH CONFIDENCE Use a three-way merge workspace for Base, Ours and Theirs. Resolve conflicts one by one and edit the final result. For folders, preview create, update, delete and move operations before synchronising, with rollback and undo safeguards. FILTER OUT NOISE Ignore whitespace, case, blank lines, JSON paths, array order, selected HTTP headers, CSV columns and small numeric variations. Save comparison profiles for recurring work. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Comparisons run locally. Files, paths and compared content are never uploaded. There are no accounts, analytics, telemetry, AI processing, tokens or cloud fees. SCREEN READER WORKSPACE • A new workspace for VoiceOver opens automatically when a screen reader is running. It reads each difference as its location, its change and both values, and lets you step through, review and apply changes from the keyboard. • PDF, Word, PowerPoint and spreadsheet comparisons now describe their differences in words as well as on the page. MORE TO COMPARE • API schema comparisons show breaking-change verdicts and counts, and can gate a CI build from the command line. • YAML comparisons accept the same semantic rules as JSON. • Compare a CSV or TSV file with a workbook by cell values. • HTTP responses compare the version and reason phrase. CLEARER AND SAFER • Errors name the file and the side they are about, say which limit a large file is over and where to raise it, and appear above open dialogs. • A file that can no longer be read from disk marks its comparison as out of date instead of showing an old result as current. • A cancelled comparison is never reported as identical, and a three-way merge never invents a value when both sides change the same line. • A failed or cancelled folder synchronisation says what was rolled back. • The toolbar, editor controls and source cards fit the window at the largest interface scale. • Hundreds of fixes across text, structured data, folders, archives, documents, images, the command line and Git integration.
