Songfold: Local Music Library

説明

Your music library took years to build. Songfold gives it a proper home on your Mac—without hiding your audio behind a streaming service or cloud account. Songfold is a native, folder-first music player and library manager for people who own local music and care where it lives. Browse, play, organize, edit, import, repair, and export your collection. CHOOSE HOW YOUR MUSIC IS ORGANIZED • Manual Library: Keep Finder as the source of truth. Add one or more existing music folders, scan when you choose, and create, rename, move, or remove files and folders directly from Songfold. • Automatic Library: Add music and let Songfold place it into a tidy Artist / Album structure inside a portable Songfold library package. • Custom Library: Choose the storage location, folder structure, and optional filename rules. Preview organization changes before applying them to existing files. BROWSE AND PLAY YOUR COLLECTION Explore your real nested folder tree or switch to Playlists. Search across the library, choose the columns that matter, sort large song lists, reveal files in Finder, and work with one track or a whole selection. Play local audio with familiar Mac controls: play, pause, previous, next, seek, volume, shuffle, repeat all, and repeat one. Use media keys and see the available format, bitrate, sample rate, and lossless quality details while a song plays. BUILD PLAYLISTS WITHOUT DUPLICATING MUSIC Create manual playlists and nested playlist folders, then add the same song wherever it belongs without copying the audio. Build smart playlists that update from metadata, ratings, dates, play and skip counts, checked state, and file properties. EDIT METADATA AND ARTWORK Read common and advanced audio tags, edit supported fields in the song table or inspector, update selections in bulk, replace embedded artwork, and reload tags changed in another app. For extra help, ask Songfold to search MusicBrainz. Compare candidates, review every proposed field and cover, and apply only the changes you select. Existing values are not silently replaced. BRING YOUR OLD LIBRARY WITH YOU Import a local Apple Music library, including available local songs, playlist folders, nested playlists, ratings, checked state, play and skip counts, and listening dates. You can also import an exported iTunes XML library, review file matches, reconnect songs that moved, and preserve unresolved playlist entries for later repair. FIND AND FIX LIBRARY PROBLEMS Library Health brings missing songs, excluded paths, unmatched imports, and managed files that need organization into one searchable workspace. Relink a file, search a likely folder, include an excluded item again, or review the appropriate fix before anything changes. SAFER FILE MANAGEMENT Songfold previews major organization, library-type, and relocation operations before applying them. It checks destinations, surfaces conflicts, creates safety checkpoints where appropriate, and records operations you can inspect or export. Back up and restore Songfold library information—including playlists, ratings, history, and recovery data. Audio files remain yours and should be covered by your own music backup. EXPORT FOR LIFE OUTSIDE SONGFOLD Export a playlist, playlist folder, or the complete playlist tree as readable text, M3U plus files, or copied audio arranged in a folder structure you choose. Optionally rename exported copies without changing the originals. LOCAL BY DESIGN No Songfold account. No advertising. No tracking. No subscription. Your library database, playlists, history, reports, and backups stay in a local, portable .songfoldlibrary package. Songfold uses the Mac App Sandbox and accesses only the folders and libraries you select. Internet access is used only when you request MusicBrainz metadata or cover artwork. SUPPORTED AUDIO AAC, AIF/AIFF, ALAC, CAF, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, Opus, and WAV. Terms: https://songfold.com/gtc Privacy Policy: https://songfold.com/privacy

Clearer loading feedback when opening large music libraries. Fixed playlist and folder name editing staying active after clicking away. Clearer playback status, error messages and retry options. Clearer labels for libraries imported from Apple Music or iTunes.
