A clean, fast, distraction-free way to read and study the Bible. • Distraction-free reading — the World English Bible (including a Catholic edition), the Berean Standard Bible, and the New King James Version — words of Christ in red, light and dark themes. • AI study — select any passage and have it explained, its context unpacked, or its translation discussed. Bring your own AI key; entirely optional. • Share — any verse as a clean, typeset image card, or as text with a Bluebook-style citation. • Notes from friends — send a verse with a short note carried inside the link. Public-domain passages open with the note in the app or browser; licensed-translation links show the note and a licensing notice on the web, with a route into the app. No account, no server. • Narration — complete human-recorded audio, with read-along verse highlighting and on-device read-aloud. Audio keeps playing with the screen locked. Free and open source. No ads, no accounts, no tracking.

The page fits the window, and your translation is kept. • On iPad, the page now follows the width of the window. A window too narrow for the centred column — beside another app, or made small in Stage Manager — sets the text across its width with space between paragraphs, as on iPhone. Widen it and the centred column comes back, keeping your place. Before, every iPad window drew the centred column, however narrow. • If you were last reading the New King James Version and it cannot be opened when the app starts — it sometimes needs a connection to open — BibleText shows the World English Bible meanwhile and now says so in the translation list: "Your choice is remembered and tried again each time the app starts." The NKJV stays your choice while you follow links into other translations, even to a book it does not have, such as Tobit. Before, the app switched without a word and forgot the NKJV as soon as you moved on. • The Berean Standard Bible and the World English Bible Catholic edition, when left on a previous edition because an update could not be downloaded, now update themselves once a connection returns, as the World English Bible already did. Before, they stayed on the previous edition until the app was next started with a connection. • The note at the foot of the translation list now gives every fact that applies, one to a line, where it gave only one. While you are reading another translation, it no longer says the World English Bible's text is on screen.
