Notch Radio puts a real radio inside your MacBook's notch. Collapsed, it is a thin pill that hugs the notch and stays out of your way. Hover it and it morphs — island style — into a peek card, then into a full player with artwork, live track titles, and transport controls. Move away and it folds back into the hardware it came from. No window to manage. No player buried behind your work. Just radio, exactly where your eyes already are. BUILT FOR THE NOTCH — AND FOR MACS WITHOUT ONE Notch Radio reads your display's real geometry, so it fits your Mac instead of guessing. On a Mac with no notch it draws its own, or you can move the whole player into the menu bar instead. On a multi-display desk, pin it to the screen you want. THOUSANDS OF STATIONS Search the Radio Browser community directory by name, genre or country. Type "jazz" or "lofi" and you get the genre, not just stations with the word in their name. Browse what is popular right now, and keep scrolling — results load as you go. Or paste a stream URL and add a station of your own. Anything already in your library wears a green check while you browse, so you can see what you have without leaving the list. The app ships no stations at all, so your library holds only what you chose to keep. IT KNOWS WHAT IS PLAYING Live track titles are read straight from the broadcast, with per-song album art fetched to match. When a station does not broadcast titles, Notch Radio shows the station cleanly rather than inventing something. Playback appears in Now Playing and answers your keyboard's media keys, so the controls you already use just work. QUIET BY DESIGN Notch Radio collects nothing. No account. No analytics. No crash reporting. No advertising. No tracking. There is no Notch Radio server to send anything to. Your library, your settings and your listening stay on your Mac. FREE, AND FREE FOR EVER Radio plays free, with no time limit, no account and no lock screen. The free tier keeps five stations — and plays anything in the directory while you still have room to save. One purchase unlocks the rest: unlimited stations, live track titles, per-song album art, the menu bar and display options, stations added by stream URL, country filtering, and every page of search results. Nothing renews. This update is all about polish: dozens of fixes to playback, live song titles and search, and Notch Radio now uses less memory and energy. • Stations that drop out now reconnect on their own instead of stopping, and a station that was playing picks up again when your Mac wakes from sleep. • Song titles with accented characters (é, ü, ñ) now display correctly, and live titles recover on their own after a station's connection hiccups. • Switching stations no longer shows the previous station's album art. • Control Center and the media keys now always show the right song and play state. • Searches containing "+" (like "C++" or "1+1") now find what you typed. • In the menu bar player, type-to-search and the arrow keys work from the very first open. • A station you save after starting it from Discover is remembered the next time you open the app. • Undo after removing a station now works from either the player or Settings. • Dragging a station to the top of a long library no longer makes it disappear or leaves the drop line stuck on screen. • Adding a station by URL saves exactly the stream that was tested, and Cancel really cancels. • Lower memory use with large station logos, and no background work while the notch is hidden.
