Sukoon — Prayer Times & Adhan

Descrizione

Sukoon is free, forever — a ṣadaqah jāriyah (ongoing charity) from its maker to the Muslim ummah. Nothing to buy, nothing collected, ever. Sukoon (سُكون — "tranquility") puts prayer times, the adhan, and the qibla quietly in your Mac's menu bar. It stays out of your way until it matters. ACCURATE TIMES, YOUR WAY • 12 calculation methods, high-latitude rules, per-prayer minute adjustments • Travel mode suggests the locally-used method when you arrive in a new country • Precise location (opt-in) or approximate — your choice THE ADHAN, DONE RIGHT • 14 voices, from Makkah to Al-Aqsa, downloadable for offline use • The panel's text follows the recording phrase by phrase • On a call? Sukoon notices your microphone is live and silences the adhan • After the adhan, the dua between adhan and iqama BUILT FOR YOUR DAY • Log prayers from the notification, the widget, or the app — streaks, on-time stats, and a shareable year in review • Qibla direction with distance to the Kaaba • Tasbih counter, adhkar, Hijri calendar, Islamic events, Ramadan mode with imsak & iftar • Widgets in three sizes with tap-to-log; Siri & Shortcuts support SIX LANGUAGES English · العربية · اردو · Türkçe · Bahasa Indonesia · Français — with full right-to-left support. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No analytics. No tracking. Prayer times are calculated on your Mac, and your location never leaves it. A DEDICATION This app was built seeking nothing but the pleasure of Allah. If Sukoon helps you pray on time, remember its maker, his parents, and his family in your dua — may Allah accept it from us and from you.

Sukoon 1.6.6 — the adhan panel's buttons now actually work. • Stop and Dismiss respond to the whole button. The round controls on the adhan panel only registered clicks on the thin ring around them and on the small icon itself, so most clicks landing squarely inside them did nothing. After the adhan, where Dismiss is the only control, the panel could feel completely stuck. The same fix applies to every outlined button elsewhere, including the dropdowns in Settings, whose chevron was not clickable at all. • Your music pauses for the adhan, then comes back. New in Settings > Adhan, on by default. Whatever is playing — Music, Spotify, a video — is paused when the adhan starts and resumed when it ends, and the panel tells you which app it paused. If nothing is playing, nothing is touched. • Muted in a meeting no longer means a full-volume adhan. "Silence adhan during calls" previously watched only the microphone, so being muted — or presenting, having never unmuted — could let the adhan play into the room. Sukoon now also recognises a conferencing app that is holding your speakers, and says so. • At home on macOS 26 and later. The menu-bar icon stays legible against the transparent menu bar while the adhan plays, and corners throughout the app follow the rounder system chrome. Nothing changes on macOS 14 and 15.
