Netsplit is an open-source, modern IRC client for macOS. Connect to multiple networks at once using TLS or an optional SSH tunnel, with IRCv3 capability support, SASL authentication, per-server identities, and other helpful features. Browse live channel lists, join and favorite channels, keep conversations organized by network, and navigate with ease. Customize nickname completion in Settings > General > Typing. Pressing Tab at the start of a message now adds a colon and space after the nickname. Choose a comma or your own suffix, or leave it empty to disable it. Repeated Tab presses cycle through matching nicknames, while completions within sentences and command arguments stay unpunctuated.
