StatDataViewer is a convenient tool to help SAS users to view SAS datasets. StatDataViewer 2.5 is our biggest update yet — introducing Stat Studio, an optional in-app upgrade that turns the viewer into a complete statistical programming environment. • Write and run SAS language programs with the built-in StatScript engine — no external software required • Connect to your own SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio session (including SAS OnDemand for Academics) and submit programs, browse libraries, and open datasets directly • New: Connect to R — run R programs and an interactive R console against a local or remote Rserve session, with a live workspace browser • Emacs editing mode with code folding, keyboard macros, and familiar keybindings • Excel improvements: switching between worksheets is dramatically faster, each sheet now remembers your column layout, and row heights are adjustable • Frequency panel keeps your place in the data table, so you can analyze column after column without extra clicks • Many refinements and fixes throughout — including cleaner dataset tab names, a library Refresh command for connected SAS Studio sessions, and setup guides linked right from each connection dialog The core viewer remains free: open SAS, SPSS, Stata, R, Excel, and CSV files with filtering, frequencies, and descriptive statistics — no account, no upload, your data never leaves your Mac.
