Instinctive Chords

Descrizione

Understand the chords beneath your fingers. Instinctive Chords identifies possible chords from the notes you are holding and presents them on a clear piano keyboard and musical staff. Connect a MIDI keyboard, use your Mac keyboard, or click notes onscreen to explore harmony as you play. SEE WHAT YOU’RE PLAYING • Identify complete chords and inversions • View note names and the intervals that shape each chord • Compare multiple valid interpretations of the same notes • See notes written on treble and bass staves • Highlight notes belonging to your selected major key LEARN IN CONTEXT Choose from 15 major keys, or use a keyless mode that prefers flats or sharps. Optional Roman-numeral scale degrees help connect each chord to the selected key. Valid chords outside that key are clearly identified without treating them as mistakes. GO DEEPER WHEN YOU’RE READY Advanced interpretation options can identify incomplete and rootless voicings or detect played scales. Straightforward defaults keep complete chords and inversions at the top, so the most useful answers appear first. Whether you are studying music theory, exploring piano harmony, checking a voicing or learning how intervals form chords, Instinctive Chords gives you immediate visual feedback. Instinctive Chords analyses the notes currently held. It does not analyse chord progressions or attempt to determine a chord’s musical function within a composition. Instinctive chords does not produce any sounds.

This update brings a clearer, more dependable chord-analysis experience: • Redesigned Key & Notation controls with complete names for 15 major keys, plus keyless flat and sharp modes. • New optional Roman-numeral scale degrees. • Clear contextual labels for chords outside the selected key. • Beginner-friendly defaults that prioritise complete chords and inversions. • New advanced options for incomplete voicings, rootless interpretations and detected scales. • More consistent ordering when the same notes have several valid interpretations. • Improved enharmonic spelling, key signatures and interval accuracy. • Improved handling of unusual MIDI input and saved settings. • General reliability improvements and bug fixes.
