Description

Brushcase opens your Photoshop brush files and shows you what's inside them. Point it at a folder of .abr files and every brush tip appears as a thumbnail, laid out like a contact sheet. No more loading sets into Photoshop one at a time just to find out what they contain. BUILT FOR REAL LIBRARIES Most brush collections are a mess of downloads accumulated over years, scattered across folders with names like "unfiled" and "new brushes 3". Brushcase reads them where they sit. Folders keep their structure in the sidebar, with a count of how many sets live under each one. It reads every version of the format, from files made in Photoshop 6 in 2000 to anything Photoshop writes today — sampled tips, computed tips, compressed and uncompressed, 8-bit and 16-bit. The parser was tested against a library of 3,081 real brush sets containing 56,072 brushes. FAST ON THE SECOND LOOK Decoding a large brush set takes a moment. Doing it twice is a waste, so Brushcase doesn't. Previews are cached on your Mac and survive quitting the app, so a set you've opened before appears instantly — even if it lives on a server. DRAG STRAIGHT INTO PHOTOSHOP Drag any thumbnail onto your canvas and it arrives as a full-resolution transparent PNG. Drop it in the Finder instead and you get a file named after the brush. Or export a whole set at once. KEEPS ITS HANDS OFF YOUR FILES Brushcase never writes to your brush files. It only reads them.
