Description

Transit makes it easy to get around your city. No more waiting. No more guessing when your ride will arrive – our app helps you travel by public transit in 1,000+ cities and regions. With live departure times and real-time vehicle tracking, you’ll always know EXACTLY when your bus or train is coming. With Transit, you can get anywhere without needing a car: • Plan the fastest route from A to B on public transport • Quickly compare options like bikeshare + rail or bus + metro • Get instant alerts about delays • Save your favourite destinations and lines – then plan trips in just one tap! It’s the go-to bus app for riders from Victoria to Toronto to St. John’s and everywhere in between. Thousands of systems are supported, including TTC, GO Transit, BC Transit, TransLink, Calgary Transit, and so many more. HERE’S WHAT THEY’RE SAYING "Gives you the best route to where you want to go" - New York Times “Quickly answers the question, ‘When the heck is the next bus going to arrive?’” - The Globe and Mail “You won't realize how much time you can save planning until you use this app” - LA Times “Even shows transit modes like Uber, Bixi and car-sharing” - The Winnipeg Sun “Killer app” - Wall Street Journal AND HERE’S THE WORD FROM PUBLIC TRANSIT RIDERS “Your app was the deciding factor in selling my car.” “Blows Google Maps out of the water.” “The head of our local transit agency recommended this app over the one her agency created.” 6 GREAT THINGS ABOUT TRANSIT: THE BEST REAL-TIME DATA: Using the best transit agency data, GO crowdsourcing data and our in-house ETA prediction engine, we get you the most accurate real-time info possible for all public transport modes: bus, subway or metro, train, streetcar, ferry, rideshare and more. Prefer to travel on two wheels? See live bikeshare and scooter locations right on the map. OFFLINE SUPPORT: Bus schedules, stop locations, subway maps and even our trip planner are available offline. When GPS is spotty underground? Use GO and you’ll still get precise ETAs. TRIP PLANNING PAR EXCELLENCE: See fast and easy trips combining buses, subways and trains, and even multiple modes in one trip (bus + bike or scooter + metro). Personalize your travel in the settings – skip long walks or the modes you’d rather avoid. GO NAVIGATION*: Use GO navigator to receive departure alarms to catch your bus or train, and get alerted when it’s time to get off or transfer. You’ll also contribute more accurate info and real-time ETAs for other passengers – and rack up points for being the most helpful rider on your line. CROWDSOURCED WISDOM: See what other riders have to say! With millions of users contributing, you’ll get helpful info on crowding levels, on-time performance, the closest station exits, and more. EASY PAYMENTS: Pay your transit fare and buy bikeshare passes directly in the app in 100+ cities. *Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life. The best cyclists in the world took our hometown by storm (and liberated some of its busiest roads from cars, wahoo!) as they duked it out at the Road World Championships in Montreal this week. Dodging our city’s infamous potholes, traffic pylons, and cowbell-clad maniacs on electric BIXIs, the winners sped to the finish — and hey, so does this new faster version of Transit, thanks to a few alacritous improvements from your favourite road crew. As UCI officials doled out medals and rainbow jerseys to perspiring pedalers, we doled out some hardware of our own: a free Royale subscription to everyone who rides Intercity Transit in Olympia, Washington, our 200th agency sponsor! Make sure to send your own agency a little wink-wink-nudge-nudge if you’d like us to bring the Royale treatment to a city near you. Rate us 5 stars and we’ll put some poutine gravy in your bidons the next time you climb Mount Royal.
