Description

Magic Battery learns how fast each device drains and tells you when it will run out - Thursday, or 6 PM, not just "43 %". Put a device on its charger and you get the time it will be full instead. One line at the top says whether anything needs charging at all, so you can close the window again in a second. • Knows when things run out It watches each battery over time and works out the rate it is losing, then says when it reaches empty. A device it has not seen for long enough says so instead of guessing. • And when they will be full Put a mouse, keyboard or trackpad on its cable and its row shows a bolt and the time it will be full. Once it gets there the row reads Charged, rather than still saying Charging. • One line, then the detail Nothing needs charging, or charge the Magic Trackpad, it is at 12 %. The verdict comes first and the list is underneath it. • Every device on one screen Apple Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and wireless keyboards, plus Logitech mice and keyboards such as the MX Anywhere series, the Pebble and the K series. • Headphones and earbuds AirPods and their charging case, Beats, Bose and Sony. The left and right side are reported separately, so you know which one needs charging. • Bluetooth Low Energy Devices that publish their level over the Bluetooth LE battery service are picked up as well, together with their firmware version and serial number. • Your Mac's own battery Charge, health, cycle count, condition and time remaining. When the Mac is plugged in and not charging, the app says why, whether that is optimised charging, a charge limit or temperature. • A menu bar that fits your setup Show every device on its own or combine them into a single item. Each one can be a compact bar, a vertical bar, plain text or text with an icon, in colour or not, with the spacing you prefer. • Only what you care about Hide any device from the menu bar, give it a name of your own, or show its type instead of its name. • Low battery notifications Get told once a device drops below the level you choose, anywhere from 10 to 30 percent. Your Mac's internal battery is watched the same way. • Out of the way when you want it Run in the menu bar alone with no Dock icon, or as a normal window. The app can start when you log in and follows your light or dark appearance. Everything it learns stays on your Mac. No account, no upload, no tracking. Support for headphones uses the free Batteries helper, which the app can download, start and stop for you. Note: iPhones and iPads occasionally show up. That works sometimes and is not officially supported. All products listed above are registered trademarks of Apple Inc., Logitech Inc., Bose Corporation or Sony Corporation.
