Windtrack doesn't just show the forecast — it analyses how the forecast changes over time, compares it with past years and presents it as a report. Other apps give you the latest forecast of the moment; you look weeks ahead, say "Saturday, 25 knots, let's cancel", and Saturday turns out glassy calm. Windtrack queries five global models four times a day for the exact point and hour you chose, and never deletes a record. When the spread between models narrows, that is a far stronger signal of confidence than wind speed alone. WHAT IT OFFERS - Five global models together: ECMWF, ICON, GFS, MeteoFrance and UKMO — four runs a day - Drift chart: see at a glance how the forecast has shifted over the days - Model agreement: the narrower the spread between models, the higher the confidence — a data-backed answer to "do we go or not?" - Skipper's comment in your own language: everything collected is translated into sailor's language by AI — Turkish, English, German, Russian and Greek. You get a notification on your phone when the comment is ready - Offline access: even out of coverage, the last forecasts, charts and comments still open — every item clearly states when it was fetched, so stale data can't fool you - Spatial pattern: four satellite points 20 nautical miles north/south/east/west of your spot show how the wind behaves across the area - Historical context: compared with the past five years for the same place in the same date window — is this wind ordinary or unusual? - High resolution: within three days of the target, the 5 km Greek POSEIDON model comes into play - Observed values: use live data from observation stations to track whether the forecast held; the station's distance in miles is always stated Sign in with your Google or Apple account in seconds.
