No hunting for the physical remote between couch cushions, no reaching for your phone, no interrupting your work — click the icon next to your clock and you're in control. No dock icon, no floating windows, no clutter. SET UP IN UNDER A MINUTE 1. Open BarRemote and scan for TVs. 2. Pick your TV and press any button. 3. Accept the pairing prompt that appears on the TV screen — once. That's it. The pairing is remembered, and every command after that just works. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything happens on your local network. No account, no cloud service, no analytics, no tracking — your TV and your Mac talk directly to each other, and nothing ever leaves your home network. COMPATIBILITY • Samsung Smart TVs running Tizen, 2016 models and newer — including K, M, N, Q, R, T, AU, BU, CU and S series, The Frame and The Serif. • Not compatible with Samsung models from 2015 or earlier (they use an older protocol), or with other brands such as LG, Sony or TCL. • Requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. Runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. • Your Mac and TV must be connected to the same local network. macOS will ask once for Local Network permission — BarRemote needs it to find and control your TV. • Waking a fully powered-off TV requires the TV's network standby setting ("Power On with Mobile" on most models) to be enabled.
