Netsplit

Descripción

Netsplit is an open-source, modern IRC client for macOS. Connect to multiple networks at once using TLS or an optional SSH tunnel, with IRCv3 capability support, SASL authentication, per-server identities, and other helpful features. Browse live channel lists, join and favorite channels, keep conversations organized by network, and navigate with ease. Netsplit includes: • Multiple simultaneous server connections • IRCv3 capability support and SASL authentication • Per-server identities, automatic reconnects, and on-connect commands • Live channel browsing, member lists, and channel favorites • Private messages, mention notifications, CTCP actions, and familiar IRC commands • Operator and moderation controls, including invites, kicks, and ban management • Fast keyboard navigation and a Command-K jump palette • Back and forward conversation history • Link warnings and rich link and image previews • Client-side muting and configurable channel-event noise • Customizable themes, text size, message spacing, and nickname colors • Thoughtful VoiceOver labels, keyboard focus controls, and reduced-motion support

Customize nickname completion in Settings > General > Typing. Pressing Tab at the start of a message now adds a colon and space after the nickname. Choose a comma or your own suffix, or leave it empty to disable it. Repeated Tab presses cycle through matching nicknames, while completions within sentences and command arguments stay unpunctuated.
