This version brings a fresh outlook with changes to the purchase model and a UI refresh for the new Liquid Glass design. Updated purchase and subscription model: - Subscription/plan screen with a clearer choice between Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime options. - Legacy / Existing users can continue using the app without a subscription on macOS 26 or earlier. - Lifetime access - a one-time purchase alternative to subscribing. It covers the current feature set plus fixes on the upcoming OS version (macOS 27) and earlier, with discounted upgrades to future versions. The Yearly subscription is still the recommended way to keep the app fully up to date; Lifetime is for those who'd rather own the current feature set, supported up to a specific macOS version, with the option to upgrade later. - Free trial on the Yearly plan — new subscribers can start with a 2-week free trial. - A new international pricing model based on purchasing power parity — check the new prices for your country on the subscription/plan screen. Since the first version released in 2014, XDesign was freely updated and supported for 11 years for a low one-time purchase price. Many users have enjoyed the free updates and support for over a decade. This was no longer sustainable, and from this version onwards XDesign has moved to a subscription model to keep the app developed and supported. Abandoning the app and creating another one was not an option. Free updates and new versions have a significant cost to develop and could not be provided free forever. Note: the app cannot be downgraded to a previous version once you update. Legacy / Existing users can continue using the app without a subscription on macOS 26 or earlier.
