Description

Perch turns the top edge of your Mac into a status light for your coding agents. A small dot matrix beside the notch ripples orange while an agent works, turns red when one needs you, and goes green when it finishes. Hover to see every session, click to open the shelf. SEE EVERY AGENT AT A GLANCE Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot CLI, Cursor Agent, Gemini CLI and more report their status to Perch. Each session shows the name you gave it, what it is doing, and how long it has been running. Token counts and usage windows are one click down, never cluttering the list. ANSWER PERMISSION PROMPTS FROM THE NOTCH When Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI or Qwen Code asks for permission, allow or deny it from the island without hunting for the right terminal tab. If you do not answer, the prompt simply stays in your terminal. A SHELF THAT DOES MORE Open the notch for sections you design: a single module filling the notch, or a combination of cards. A shortcut pill under the notch switches between them. - Weather with an hourly and seven day forecast - Calendar timeline, month view and today's agenda - Pomodoro timer, notes, reminders, translation and clipboard history - File shelf and drop actions: drag files onto the notch - Pull requests waiting for your review on GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket - System, battery and connected device status LIVE ACTIVITIES Perch speaks up only when it matters: an agent waiting on you, a session finishing, a volume change, a timer ending. Every notice has its own switch. QUIET BY DESIGN Perch uses essentially no CPU at rest, has no account and no tracking, and keeps your data on your Mac. Try everything free for 7 days, then unlock Perch with a one-time purchase. No subscription.

What’s New

Version 1.6.8 · 10/7/2026

A session no longer turns red a minute after it finishes when the agent asked nothing. Click a session's pulsing square to mark it seen, and again to put it away until the agent does something new. The strip that says a session needs you is one line, only as wide as its words, and clicking it marks the session as seen. The volume, battery and sound output notices share one look and no longer lose their icon or reading at the edges. Each display's section switch is in the open island on every Mac. Settings, About has Help and Support: report a problem or suggest a feature, and follow either on its own page.
