Unboom finds that frequency and turns just that part down across your Mac's audio. No acoustics knowledge needed. No EQ to set up. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sit where you normally listen and keep your speakers at a comfortable level. 2. Unboom plays a short bass sweep and measures your room with your Mac's microphone. Prefer your ears? Press "That's the boom" when the sweep sounds loudest. 3. Fine-tune by dragging across the bass range. No numbers to type. 4. Flip Unboom on and off to hear the difference, and choose Gentle, Medium, or Strong. 5. Keep it. Unboom moves to the menu bar and corrects your Mac's audio on those speakers. Setup takes about two minutes. SAFE BY DESIGN • Unboom only turns the resonance down. It never boosts quiet frequencies or pushes your speakers harder. • Corrections are narrow and limited, so the rest of your sound stays as it was. • Test sounds start at a moderate level and fade in and out. • Headphones and other outputs are left alone. • Turn Unboom off and your Mac sounds exactly as before. Unboom never changes your sound output. MADE FOR MUSICIANS • Rooms: keep a correction for each room and set of speakers. Unboom switches rooms when those speakers become your Mac's output. • DAWs play outside the system-wide correction, so they're never delayed.
