AmpSonic: Self-Hosted Music

Description

AmpSonic brings your personal Ampache, Subsonic, or Navidrome music library to iPhone and CarPlay. Navidrome connects through its Subsonic-compatible API. Browse artists, albums, songs, and playlists, search your whole library from a local index, and keep the player close at hand while you explore. Playback and offline features: - Stream from multiple servers and switch between them. - Download albums and playlists for offline playback. - Keep a cache of played tracks for unreliable connections. - Play in the background with lock-screen and Control Center controls. - Browse and play your library in CarPlay, with configurable tabs and buttons. - Play through AirPlay speakers. - Listen to radio stations saved on your music server. - Shuffle music and repeat a song or the queue. - Find recent albums and quick playback actions on the Home screen. - Choose and reorder the bottom menu, including pinned albums and playlists. - View local listening statistics. - Report completed plays to a supported server with an opt-in setting for each account. - Adjust local playback with ReplayGain and a 10-band equalizer. - Pick from eleven app icons with light, dark, and tinted variants. AmpSonic connects to the servers you configure. Your credentials stay in Apple Keychain, and the app does not collect your library or any data. An Ampache, Subsonic, or Navidrome server is required. AmpSonic does not include music or access to a hosted music service.

- Search now finds songs when you type words from the artist and the title together, such as "queen bohemian". - You can now connect to a server on your home network with a plain HTTP address, such as 192.168.1.20:4533. Before, the server address had to use HTTPS. - Fixed a downloaded playlist not opening when the server doesn't answer, such as away from home. It now opens from the download after a moment. - Fixed search showing no results, or old results, when you search while the library is still refreshing. - Fixed Remove from Playlist doing nothing after the connection dropped for a moment or the library refreshed. - Fixed a quick second change being lost while the first was still sending, such as adding two songs to a playlist in a row, or changing a rating or favorite again right away. - Fixed switching to an AirPlay speaker in the middle of a song starting the song over. - Fixed pausing and playing again repeating up to a second of the song. - Fixed AmpSonic crashing when a crossfade starts between two songs. - Fixed the waveform stopping partway through a song that streams from the server, and then turning into the plain progress bar. It now finishes after a slow or dropped connection, and after a seek. - Fixed Play resuming the old song when you press it while a new song is still loading. Play now starts the new song as soon as it's ready. - Fixed downloads saving a server error as the song when the server couldn't send the file. The song no longer shows as downloaded and fails to play. The download stops with an error, so you can try again. - Fixed downloads showing as complete after restoring from a backup, even though the songs weren't on the device. They now download again. - Fixed downloads started on cellular with Wi-Fi-only downloads turned on never starting. They now start when you connect to Wi-Fi. - Fixed downloads stopping when one cover couldn't be loaded. The songs download, and the cover is tried again later. - Fixed a song stopping with "The network connection was lost." when the connection dropped while it was still downloading. It now plays what has already loaded, waits for the connection, and continues from the same point. - Fixed changing a server's address deleting its downloads, listening history, smart playlists, Home layout, and saved queue. They are now kept when the new address reaches the same server. - Fixed downloads stopping with an error when you lock the phone or switch apps. They now continue when you return to AmpSonic. - Fixed songs jumping back and repeating up to a second when the audio output changed, such as when you connect AirPods or leave your home Wi-Fi. - Fixed a song not being kept for offline play when the library refreshed while it was still loading. It now stays in the recent cache. - Fixed downloads stopping part way when you edited, renamed, or deleted a playlist while they were resuming. They now continue when the edit is done.
