AmpSonic: Self-Hosted Music

Description

AmpSonic brings your personal Ampache, Subsonic, or Navidrome music library to iPhone and CarPlay. Navidrome connects through its Subsonic-compatible API. Browse artists, albums, songs, and playlists, search your whole library from a local index, and keep the player close at hand while you explore. Playback and offline features: - Stream from multiple servers and switch between them. - Download albums and playlists for offline playback. - Keep a cache of played tracks for unreliable connections. - Play in the background with lock-screen and Control Center controls. - Browse and play your library in CarPlay, with configurable tabs and buttons. - Play through AirPlay speakers. - Listen to radio stations saved on your music server. - Shuffle music and repeat a song or the queue. - Find recent albums and quick playback actions on the Home screen. - Choose and reorder the bottom menu, including pinned albums and playlists. - View local listening statistics. - Report completed plays to a supported server with an opt-in setting for each account. - Adjust local playback with ReplayGain and a 10-band equalizer. - Pick from eleven app icons with light, dark, and tinted variants. AmpSonic connects to the servers you configure. Your credentials stay in Apple Keychain, and the app does not collect your library or any data. An Ampache, Subsonic, or Navidrome server is required. AmpSonic does not include music or access to a hosted music service.

- Download your favorite songs from Favorites → Songs. The download keeps up with your favorites: new favorites are added and removed ones leave it. - Added AutoPlay. When the last song in the queue starts, similar songs are added so the music keeps going. They show under Up Next from AutoPlay in the queue, where you can clear them. Turn AutoPlay off in Settings → Playback. - Added Skip 1-Star Songs. Turn it on to leave songs you rated 1 star out of shuffle, Instant Mix, and AutoPlay. They still play when you pick them. Find it in Settings → Playback. - Sort albums by Most Played, Rating, or Random, and songs by Most Played, Rating, Duration, or Random. The list shows the play count or rating it's sorted by. - Radio stations show their artwork in the station list, the player, the Lock Screen, and CarPlay. AmpSonic uses the image uploaded in Navidrome, or else the icon from the station's website. - Choose the buttons at the top of Home. In Customize Home, add Shuffle Favorites, Shuffle Downloads, Instant Mix, Resume, or a smart playlist, and hide the ones you don't use. - Play Next now plays songs in the order you add them. Turning on shuffle keeps them next. - Seeking ahead in a song that is still downloading is faster, mostly on slow connections. - Songs that aren't downloaded or cached start playing sooner, and skipping to the next song starts it sooner. - Refreshing a large library that hasn't changed finishes almost at once. - Offline Mode now stays on when you join or leave Wi-Fi. - When the app opens offline and the current song isn't downloaded, your queue is kept, so you can skip to the songs that are. - Offline, playback now skips songs that aren't downloaded instead of stopping at the first one. Next and Previous skip them too. - When the server can't be reached for a moment, the app now goes back online by itself once the server answers. Pull to refresh also tries the server again. - Fixed "This song is not available offline." showing when the app opens on a slow connection. - Fixed the app freezing when you turn off shuffle with a long queue. - Fixed songs that stream over AirPlay downloading twice. - Fixed playlists that have the same song twice: tapping the later copy now plays from there instead of from the first copy, also in CarPlay.
