DeskPet: Desktop Companion

Description

Bring your favorite pet to your Mac and enjoy its company throughout the day. DeskPet is a lightweight animated desktop pet app with a growing Pet Store. Choose from cats, dogs, parrots, and other companions, download the pets you love, and switch between them at any time. Every pet has its own personality and exclusive animations. It may walk across windows, rest, sleep, play, climb, look around, or react when the pointer comes near. These natural responses make your pet feel present without getting in the way. Animations and content can be updated online, bringing new expressions and actions without requiring a full app update. New speech-bubble interactions bring natural and playful messages to your desktop. Your pet offers thoughtful greetings throughout the day, welcomes you back when you return, and gently reminds you to rest your eyes, save your work, and wind down after a late session. You can also customize meal and end-of-work reminders to keep a healthier rhythm. Eligible new subscribers may enjoy a free trial before deciding whether to continue. Animation and interaction processing happen locally on your Mac. DeskPet does not read or store typed text, document contents, or passwords. It connects only for the Pet Store, animation updates, and purchase status. Its lightweight, low-power, low-memory design protects everyday Mac performance.
