SCREEN RECORDING, BUILT FOR MAC ScreenForge is a native screen recorder and lightweight video editor for macOS. Capture Retina displays, Mac audio, microphone and webcam, then refine and export a polished MP4 without leaving one focused app. CAPTURE EXACTLY WHAT MATTERS • Record a full display or draw a custom capture area. • Choose Ultra, High, Medium or Low quality. Ultra supports up to 6016 pixels on the long edge and targets 60 fps; actual output depends on your capture area, display and Mac. • Capture Mac audio, a microphone, or both. • Show or hide the cursor, highlight clicks and include the menu bar. • Exclude the ScreenForge window and its own audio independently. • Add a rectangular or circular webcam overlay in a preset or custom position. • Use a countdown or the Shift-Command-R keyboard shortcut. FINISH THE STORY Open compatible MP4 and QuickTime movies directly in ScreenForge. Trim the beginning and end, crop each edge, or choose Original, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1 or 9:16. ScreenForge preserves the source frame rate and compatible audio tracks during export. When a compatible MP4 has no edits, it is copied without a lossy re-encode. REMOVE QUIET SECTIONS FASTER Auto Cut Silence analyzes audio entirely on your Mac and builds a non-destructive cut plan for low-level pauses. Tune the automatic or manual threshold, minimum silence, retained padding and short-blip removal. Choose which audio tracks guide the decision, preview the result without quiet sections, and change individual keep/remove decisions before export. Auto Cut uses audio levels, not transcription or speech recognition. PRIVATE BY DESIGN ScreenForge has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking or cloud upload. Recordings and exports stay on your Mac in locations you choose. Screen, microphone and camera permissions are requested only for features that need them. SAFE, NATIVE OUTPUT ScreenForge uses Apple’s ScreenCaptureKit, AVFoundation, SwiftUI and App Sandbox. Recordings and exports are finalized and validated in a safe staging file before they replace an existing destination. Requires macOS 15 or later.

Auto Cut Silence is more responsive when working with long recordings, adjusting detection settings and previewing cuts. Canceling analysis also stops pending processing more promptly. Webcam recording is more reliable when starting, stopping or canceling recordings in succession, with improved cleanup when a recording ends or is interrupted.
