Description
Every .env file on your Mac, in one fast, native app. EnvHub gives the files that hold your API keys, database URLs and feature flags a proper home. Add your project folders — or scan a folder you choose — and EnvHub organizes every .env, .env.local, .env.production and friends into projects, workspaces and color-coded environments. A REAL EDITOR FOR ENV FILES • A Key / Value / Comment table with inline editing — the comment above each entry is a first-class column that survives every save • Values are masked by default; reveal them one at a time, only when you need to • Raw text mode when you'd rather edit the file directly • Create new files from scratch, or from an existing file's keys with the values stripped — a perfect .env.example in one click SAVE WITHOUT FEAR • Review a clear diff — added, changed, removed — before anything touches disk • Every save keeps a .bak backup right next to the file • Files are rewritten faithfully: order, blank lines and comments preserved byte-for-byte FIND ANYTHING, INSTANTLY • Quick Open (⇧⌘O) searches keys, values, comments and filenames across every project at once • Results are grouped by project and colored by environment • Decide per environment what search may show — keep production values out of results entirely ORGANIZED LIKE A MAC APP SHOULD BE • Workspaces group projects in the sidebar — drag, drop, pin favorites, multi-select • Native macOS tabs and windows: open each client's stack side by side • Workspace dashboards count projects, files and variables at a glance YOUR ENVIRONMENTS, YOUR RULES • Development, Staging, Production, Local and Example ship as defaults • Add your own — UAT, Pre-Prod, anything — with custom names, colors and ordering • Filename rules decide classification; Example templates are marked safe to commit SHARE SAFELY • Export a file, a project or your whole library as an encrypted .envenc — scrypt key derivation + AES-256-GCM, entirely on your Mac • Import an .envenc to restore everything on a new machine • Compare two environments side by side to catch missing keys before they bite in production PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts, no backend, no telemetry — EnvHub never makes a network request • Your files stay exactly where they are on disk; EnvHub stores only its own metadata • Free and open source — read every line at github.com/cs4alhaider/EnvHub Built for the new macOS with Swift 6+ and SwiftUI.
