QuickSTEP is a free native macOS viewer for STEP CAD files. Open .step and .stp models quickly, inspect clean shaded geometry with crisp CAD edges, and review designs without launching a full CAD suite. Made for engineers, designers, makers, and reviewers, QuickSTEP keeps the workflow focused and local. All features are included free: • Finder Quick Look previews and thumbnails • Smooth orbit, pan, zoom, fit, and orientation controls • Multiple point-to-point measurements • Text, circle, and arrow annotations • Color-coded markup with undo and redo • Local capture history with exact view restoration • Clean screenshot copy and full-resolution PNG export • Model dimensions and solid-body count • Optional SpaceMouse navigation • Open in CAD using your preferred application • Millimeter and inch display units Your STEP files stay on your Mac and are never modified. Annotations and capture history are stored separately in the app sandbox. QuickSTEP contains no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud upload service. Measurements are calculated from the tessellated preview mesh. They are ideal for visual review and communication, but are not a substitute for tolerance-grade inspection in a full CAD system.
