It helps you find channel congestion, inspect nearby access points, and diagnose an unstable connection without uploading your scan data. Explore 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz networks on a live signal map. Compare signal strength and channel overlap, then inspect the details behind each connection. When Wi-Fi feels unreliable, run a stability test to track latency, jitter, packet loss, and signal strength together in real time. Location permission is requested only because macOS gates SSID, BSSID, and country-code Wi-Fi metadata behind that permission. Scan results and diagnostic measurements are processed locally on your Mac.

WiFiBuddy 0.3.0 adds new tools for diagnosing slow or unstable connections: - Run a new Stability Test against your gateway, DNS server, or a custom host. - View latency, jitter, packet loss, and Wi-Fi signal strength together in a live chart. - Track signal history and inspect channel utilization, nearby client counts, same-channel networks, and security warnings. - See additional connection details, including IPv4, IPv6, router, DHCP, DNS, and interface information. - Choose a Wi-Fi interface when your Mac has more than one. - Keep working through temporary scan failures with timeouts, cached results, and automatic retries. - Use WiFiBuddy in 20 languages, up from 4 in version 0.2.0.
