Description
Your whole financial life in one calm place — budgets, net worth, investments and a full retirement plan. No account to create. No bank logins. No tracking, no analytics, nothing sold. BUDGETS THAT FIT YOUR ACTUAL MONTH • Rings or bars, monthly or annual, with rollover and per-month overrides • Fast entry — scan a receipt, split a transaction, and let recurring bills post themselves • Cover an overspend from another category in one tap, and keep the history of it • A spend curve that knows rent lands on the 1st, so "over pace" means something • Import from a spreadsheet, CSV or OFX/QFX — or just copy the rows and paste SHARE WITH YOUR PARTNER, FAMILY AND FRIENDS • Partner: full two-way sync — you both see and edit the same accounts, transactions, budgets and goals • Moving in together? Combine your finances in one pass — choose which accounts are shared, and decide which budget to keep where you both tracked the same category. • Family: a read-only summary you control per person — net worth, income, accounts, investments, goals, bills, a six-month trend, or only the categories you pick • Friends: compare just the numbers you choose — savings rate, budget used, no-spend days, or who has the lowest utility bill • Keep anything private: a category, an account, a goal, a single transaction • It all runs through your own iCloud. Nothing is ever on our servers. NET WORTH, TRACKED PROPERLY • Accounts, investments, crypto, vehicles, real estate and mortgages in one number • History you can scrub, asset allocation, and year-over-year comparisons • Snapshots, so you can see where you were and not only where you are STOCKS AND CRYPTO • Live prices and charts you can scrub, from one day to all time, with key statistics and dividends • Today's move on every row, split at the previous close — plus pre-market and after-hours • Tax lots, cost basis, dividends, and a watchlist for what you don't own yet • See your portfolio against the S&P 500, the Dow and the NASDAQ PLAN YOUR RETIREMENT — BUILT IN A private, full-featured retirement planner. No spreadsheet, no advisor login. • Will your money last for life? See your odds across 500 market simulations and a century of real history — 1929, 1966, 2000 and every year since. • Find your earliest safe retirement age, then model Social Security timing, Roth conversions, RMDs, pensions, rental income, healthcare and one-time life events. • Plan as a couple, kept separate until you combine finances. • Year-by-year projections in today's dollars, plus a multi-page report you can share. MEET FIN — YOUR PRIVATE AI MONEY ASSISTANT Fin answers questions about your money using Apple Intelligence, entirely on your device. Ask "am I on track this month?", "what bills are due soon?", or "how much will I have in 20 years at 7%?" — Fin computes exact answers from your real numbers and can chart them. Nothing you ask ever leaves your phone. ON EVERY DEVICE YOU OWN iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and a real native Mac app — not a phone app in a window. Your own iCloud keeps them in step, with Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and a watch complication. STUCK? ASK. A help center with hundreds of answers, and a way to reach a real person without leaving the app. Replies come back inside the app. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No sign-up, no bank linking, no analytics, no third-party SDKs • Face ID app lock, blur-on-demand, and an app-switcher privacy shield • Demo Mode: show the app to anyone with sample data — your real finances stay hidden • Full JSON backups you own, plus optional weekly iCloud Drive auto-backup RUN A BUSINESS TOO? Clients, jobs, estimates and invoices, a work timer, mileage, crew hours and a Schedule C summary at tax time — kept completely apart from your personal money, with one switch to change which you're looking at. Simple Finance doesn't track you, and never sells or shares your data. See our privacy policy — it's short, because there's so little to disclose.
What’s New
Version 2.9 · 10/4/2026Pay a card in one tap, split any charge, bills you can trust, and made for Australia, the UK, Canada and India. Pay a credit card in one tap. Every card has Record a Payment, set up for what's left on your statement. Payments by transfer now show on the card, a paid statement says so, and you won't be reminded about a bill you've paid. Split any transaction. Long-press any transaction, imported ones included, and choose Split Across Categories. Type one part and the rest fills itself in. Recurring items choose their account. Pick which account your salary goes into, which one a bill is paid from, and where a recurring transfer goes. Bills and cash flow you can trust. The forecast no longer counts a bill you've already paid, a bill you forgot stays owed, paying late or early marks the right month paid, and resuming a paused bill no longer back-fills the months it was paused. Search by amount. Type 44.97 to find that charge, or ask for "groceries over $100 last month." Cleaner imports. Bank statements come in with readable names like Shell, Amazon and Trader Joe's, with the bank's own words kept underneath. Your Apple Watch and widgets keep up on their own. What you add on your iPhone, Mac or your partner's phone reaches your watch face and widgets without opening the app. Goals. An Offset goal shows how much of your home loan your offset covers, and a net worth goal below zero now shows its real number, counting up from where you started. Your true return. Enter what you've contributed in total from your latest statement, and any investment or retirement account shows your return since the very start. See how much of this year's change was contributions and how much was growth, and log employer contributions in one tap. Australia: super with your concessional cap on the July to June year, take-home pay and tax with ATO rates, the Medicare levy and HECS-HELP, reports by financial year, and CommBank, ANZ, Westpac and NAB imports. United Kingdom: ISAs, workplace pensions and SIPPs on the tax year from 6 April, your £20,000 ISA allowance added up across every ISA, take-home pay with National Insurance and student loans (Scottish rates too), and Monzo, Starling, Revolut, Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds and Nationwide imports. Canada: TFSA, RRSP, FHSA and RESP with your contribution room across accounts, take-home pay for every province and territory except Quebec, and RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC and Tangerine imports. India: PPF, EPF, NPS, ELSS and Sukanya Samriddhi on the April to March year, take-home pay under the new regime, and HDFC, ICICI, SBI and Axis imports. Fixes: editing income no longer clears its category, "Invested" no longer counts card payments or balance corrections, retirement plans read your account rates correctly and skip US-only tax rules outside the US, decimal commas like 1.500,50 are read correctly, two-digit years like 9/5/26 import as 2026, and a weekly item starting tomorrow shows on its first day. Plus dozens more fixes and a smoother first run, from a full pass over every screen. Questions, or something you wish it did? Message me from Help & Support. I read every one, and most of this update started as somebody asking.
