CutGenius

Description

CutGenius is the most complete 2D cut list optimizer for woodworkers, cabinet makers, and manufacturers — at the lowest price on the App Store. And unlike other tools, it's a one-time purchase. No subscriptions, no recurring fees, ever. Simply enter your sheet sizes and the parts you need to cut — CutGenius automatically calculates the most efficient layout to minimize waste and reduce material costs. Features: Smart 2D bin packing optimization Grain direction control for wood and veneer Kerf and margin settings for accurate cuts Multiple sheet sizes in a single project Visual cut sheet diagrams Cut sequence numbering for efficient workshop workflow Group ID support to keep related parts together DXF export for CNC machines and CAD software Label export for part identification PDF export for the workshop CSV import for large part lists Edge banding tracking Multi-language support Works completely offline Whether you're a hobbyist or running a professional shop, CutGenius gives you everything you need to cut smarter and waste less.

Version 1.1.4 - Smarter cut layouts The optimizer now uses guillotine cutting alongside the existing algorithm, combined with a preference for placing parts toward one corner. Waste material is concentrated in one large usable offcut rather than scattered across the sheet in multiple small strips — resulting in fewer rip cuts needed at the saw. - Vectorworks: Windows support The SendToCutGenius script now works on Windows. File paths and the deep link to open CutGenius are handled automatically per platform. - Vectorworks: smarter part naming System drawer parts that previously exported without a name now get a meaningful label based on their dimensions — for example "Ladebodem" or "Lade achterkant".
