CIRA Canadian Shield

Description

Browse safely with free online protection built for Canadians. CIRA Canadian Shield blocks access to malicious websites that can steal your data, install harmful software or trick you into scams. The app quietly runs in the background to help protect you from online threats while keeping your data in Canada. Choose between two levels of protection: - Protected: blocks malware, phishing, botnets and online scams.   - Family: includes everything in Protected and blocks adult content.  Worried about your data? Don’t be. CIRA is a national not-for-profit that will never sell your personal data or use it to show you ads.

See what was blocked: view the URL, how many times it was blocked and the threat category. Think it was blocked by mistake? Report it right from the app. Look before you click: if you’re not sure about a URL, paste it into the new domain lookup page to see if Canadian Shield will block it before you visit.
