MusicCovered is a macOS app designed for people who truly love their local music library. More than just an audio player supporting FLAC, ALAC, MP3, AIFF, and WAV, MusicCovered offers a different way to experience your collection, putting albums, cover art, tracklists, booklets, metadata, and all those details that make listening special at the center. If your library is made of carefully organized albums and artwork, MusicCovered brings it to life through a rich, visual, and engaging interface. WHAT IS MUSICCOVERED? The idea behind MusicCovered is simple. Today, many music apps focus mainly on playlists, streaming, or fast listening. MusicCovered instead aims to bring back the album experience, visual navigation, and the pleasure of exploring music through artwork and the organization of your collection. Different viewing modes give more space to cover art, album structure, tracklists, booklets, and everything that accompanies the music. MusicCovered works with your local music library on Mac. Browse albums, artists, tracks, and playlists through a modern, highly visual and collection-oriented interface. COVERFLOW & VISUAL VIEWS One of MusicCovered’s most distinctive features is its range of visual views, including 18 CoverFlow modes. Music is not presented as a simple list of files, but as a real collection of albums, artwork, and visual identity. Enjoy fluid cover flipping, smooth scrolling, artist filtering, alphabetical navigation by Artist, Album or Year, and integrated Now Playing controls. New CoverFlow styles include Eclipse and Vertical Arc. ARTWORK, BOOKLETS & METADATA MusicCovered gives special attention to everything surrounding your music: front and back covers, disc images, tracklists, artist images, logos, and digital booklets — bringing the experience closer to browsing a physical CD or vinyl collection. MusicCovered 7 introduces integrated metadata editing. Edit track and album information, search Discogs and MusicBrainz to automatically retrieve metadata, and import covers, disc images, and booklet artwork. Album Info has been redesigned with drag & drop support. Prefer another tag editor? Set your favorite external app in Preferences and open your music directly in it. WORLDWIDE INTERNET RADIO Discover radio stations from around the world. Search by station name, country, or music genre, or add your own stream URL. Customize the Radio interface with included vintage radio skins or your own images. Controls can be configured for each design, while stations, backgrounds, and configurations can be exported and imported. MUSIC VIDEOS Bring your music video collection into MusicCovered. Add up to 3 video folders and, when a matching video exists for the current track, a Video button automatically appears. Supports MP4, MOV, MPEG, and M4V. Videos can also inherit your existing artist images and logos. QUICK SEARCH & MINIPLAYER Quick Search lets you instantly find albums, artists, and tracks. The redesigned MiniPlayer includes Quick Search and works independently from the main window. Your previously played track is also remembered after reopening MusicCovered. APPLE TV & REMOTE The MusicCovered ecosystem extends beyond your Mac. Use MusicCovered Remote to browse and control your collection from iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. MusicCovered 7 also supports the dedicated Apple TV app. Your Mac acts as the server for your collection, while Apple TV has its own independent audio stream, allowing different music to play simultaneously on your Mac and Apple TV.
