Description

Exporter turns Apple Notes, Messages (iMessage), Contacts, Screen Time, Reminders, Claude Code, Bear, Logseq and a folder of documents into Markdown or HTML files on your Mac. Back up your data, use it with AI tools, or just own it as plain text files, with no lock-in. - export from Apple Notes, Messages, Contacts, Screen Time, Reminders, Claude Code, Bear, Logseq and a folder of documents - every iMessage conversation becomes a markdown file: a heading per day, reactions on the message they belong to, edited messages with their history, replies as real links, and the photos people sent, converted so they actually display - every contact card becomes a markdown file with phones, emails, addresses and groups; chats link to people, and people list their conversations - every day of Screen Time becomes a markdown file: app usage, websites, notifications and screen sessions. macOS deletes this data after a few weeks; your export keeps every day - point it at a folder of documents and Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OpenDocument, RTF, EPUB, CSV and PDF files become markdown. Scanned pages are read with Apple's own text recognition on your Mac, and nothing is uploaded - real-time sync: exports automatically when anything changes, even in the background, with launch at login and menu bar mode - Apple Notes as Markdown with lean YAML front matter: title, id, created and modified dates, the cover, the links in the note, and a link that reopens it in Apple Notes - organize files: Apple Notes by folder, by tag or by smart folder, Contacts in one folder, by group or by company, and pick exactly which notes, contacts, conversations and days export - works great with Obsidian: dates show up as real date properties, pre-built bases, and a companion plugin with sync status inside your vault - built-in MCP server: your notes, contacts and conversations as context for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, with one-click connect - a command line, exporter, for Terminal, cron and backup tools, which works while the app is closed - HTML export keeps the full formatting, and every attachment is exported alongside your notes - a full resync removes only the files Exporter wrote and writes everything again; your own files in the export folder stay - every Reminders list becomes a markdown file: a reminder per checkbox line with its due date, priority and notes, subtasks under their parent, completed reminders under their own heading, and a link back to Reminders - every Claude Code session becomes a markdown note: a paragraph per turn, tool calls folded to what they ran, edits as diffs, pasted images beside it, and the original log copied next to it, so a session Claude Code deletes after thirty days is still yours - every month of Calendar becomes a markdown file: a heading per day and a line per event with its time, its calendar and where it is - every Wallet pass becomes a markdown file: the boarding pass with its route, gate and seat, the event ticket with its venue, and the store card - free on every source: 100 Apple Notes, 100 contacts, your 50 most recent conversations, 10 days of Screen Time, 10 documents, 100 reminders and your 50 most recent Claude Code sessions. Re-syncing what you have exported stays free forever. Unlock each with a one-time purchase. Bear and Logseq are completely free, with no subscription, ever. What’s New

Version 5.0 · 10/5/2026

Exporter starts with a welcome and sets up each app in three steps, one page each: connect it, choose where the files go, choose what syncs. Before the first sync you see how much is ticked and how much of it is free. Home shows what you sync first, then the apps on your Mac you can add. Settings is a Mac form in four groups, and Command-comma opens it. Every list has a header row: click a heading to sort, and tick or untick everything from the checkbox at its start. Apple Notes has its Smart Folders tab again. The last page of setup can start the local server for AI apps like Claude, Cursor and VS Code. Its search now covers every export, wherever you saved it. On macOS 27, reminders export with their images and links. The export log says how many Messages photos were copied, and why any are missing.
