Description

Delimited is a minimalistic CSV and TSV editor for macOS that strictly follows RFC 4180. It's built for speed and simplicity, letting you quickly create or explore tables and save them in either format. It’s lightweight and native, built in Swift and handles everything from small to large tables. While it’s not focused on excelling in any particular benchmark, it strikes a balance between performance, design and user experience. Delimited keeps its feature set deliberately limited: • See every row and column in a single scrollable table. • Insert, remove and drag rows and columns into place. • Double-click a cell or header to edit its contents. • Find and replace text across the whole table. • Fit a column to its contents with a double-click. • Choose whether to interpret the first row as a header or part of the table. • Copy and paste rows and columns as plain text. To ensure compatibility with RFC 4180, files ending in .csv use commas and files ending in .tsv use tabs. No other delimiters are allowed. A file must contain only the table itself: Delimited will refuse to open files that have a title, notes or other text embedded in the file. This strictness is deliberate, and it means files from Delimited play well with other apps and are easy to parse in your own code.

Delimited 1.1 is here! The app has been updated to look its best on macOS 27 and includes some new features. • Find, and Find and Replace. Press ⌘F to bring up the Find menu, or ⌥⌘F to bring up the Find and Replace menu. • Fit column to content width. Either double-click the divider at the right-edge of a column header or right-click one or more selected columns and choose ‘Fit Width to Content’. • Improved header editing: while editing a column title, press tab or shift-tab to move the editor to the next or previous column. Pressing escape discards changes, clicking away keeps changes. • Right-clicking a column header now outlines the columns the right-click menu will act on. • Updated the Help Book to reflect the new features.
