Dirt Map - Offline Navigation

Description

Adventures in your pocket - When the road ends, Dirt Map keeps you going. When the reception drops out, Dirt Map keeps working. DOWNLOAD YOUR REGION, THEN FORGET ABOUT SIGNAL Pick your state and Dirt Map keeps the whole map on your phone — tracks, trails, contours and camps. No reception, no data, no problem. 60,000+ 4WD TRACKS AND WALKING TRAILS, SEARCHABLE OFFLINE Search a track by name and DirtMap frames and highlights the whole run — 60,000+ named 4WD tracks and walking trails. WHERE THE 4WD TRACK ENDS, KEEP GOING Dirt Map doesn't stop at the trailhead. Walking and hiking trails are on the same map, and the Hike profile plots a route on foot when the driving ends. TURN-BY-TURN THAT WORKS OFF-GRID Real navigation on a routing graph stored on your phone. Plot a route that follows the tracks, get spoken directions as you drive, and it reroutes when you miss a turn — with the phone in aeroplane mode. No more switching between Google maps and Dirt Map. CONTOUR LINES AND ELEVATION PROFILE Topographic contours on every region. Scrub any track, trip or route to read the elevation and the gradient at any point on it, before you commit to it. TRACK DIFFICULTY, RATED FOR YOU Named tracks carry a difficulty estimate that calibrates to your own ratings, and shifts between wet and dry conditions. CAMP SITES AND CARAVAN PARKS, FREE 10,000+ camp sites and caravan parks on the map, with the facilities that decide where you stop: toilets, drinking water and whether you'll get a van in. RECORD WHERE YOU'VE BEEN Turn the phone into a GPS tracker. Dirt Map logs the drive while it's in your pocket, and if you forget to un-pause it, it notices and picks the recording back up. BRING YOUR EXISTING TRIPS Import GPX, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON, Ozi PLT/WPT and GeoPackage raster maps. Bulk import works, and every import can be undone. MARK WHAT MATTERS Drop markers for gates, washouts, water crossings and camps. Organise trips, routes, tracks and markers into folders. COVERAGE Seven Australian states and territories, plus both New Zealand islands. YOUR DATA, BACKED UP Make an account and your trips, routes and markers sync across your devices. Sign in with Apple, or use an email address. You don't have to make one at all — everything works signed out. YOUR PRIVACY Dirt Map does not track you across other apps or websites, and shows no ads. Your recorded tracks are yours. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, any time. DIRT MAP PRO Pro unlocks every map region, precise terrain and contour detail, elevation profiles and full track detail, Insights, and CarPlay on the dashboard. It also fills in the whole trip: 50k+ POI including fuel stops, public toilets, drinking water, showers, dump points, rest areas and motels, on your phone and working with no signal. Built by people who spend their weekends where the reception doesn't reach. Dirt Map is a guide, not a substitute for proper trip planning, a paper map or a PLB. Conditions change; tracks close. NEW • Photos — take photos while you record and they pin to the map right where you took them. Add photos to your waypoints and routes too, and tap any pin to look back. IMPROVED • Terrain for Pro — maps now add relief shading and finer contours, so ridgelines, gullies and climbs read at a glance. Pro. • Recording — one button to start, then tap for Pause or Finish, with a camera button to snap a photo without leaving the map. • Track reports — rate conditions at the exact spot you're standing, add photos, and see reports on the map. • Location bar — tap to copy your coordinates or switch formats, keep speed and elevation in view, and see coordinates for tracks the map doesn't name. • Beacon — change how often you share your live location without stopping and restarting. FIXED • Markers now drop exactly under the crosshair. • Tapping A or B on an elevation profile flips its direction instead of scrubbing.
