Dextrose Calc does the glucose maths at the cot side: what concentration to prescribe, how to make the bag, and what the baby is actually receiving. Built by a neonatal doctor, for anyone prescribing glucose and feeds. GIR CALCULATOR Enter weight, target GIR and the daily glucose volume — the concentration you need appears as you type. NEW: work the other way round. Enter the concentration running now and see the GIR it delivers. Tells you whether it can go through a peripheral line or needs a central line, and warns when the GIR is above 12 mg/kg/min. NEW: enter volumes as mL/day, mL/kg/day or mL/h. NEW: also shows the infusion rate in mL/h, glucose in g/kg/day, total fluids in mL/kg/day and the approximate osmolarity. Account for other fluids running in the same line. GLUCOSE MIXER The exact volume of each stock bag needed to make any strength, for example 150 mL of glucose 12%. NEW: adjust a bag you already have — how much to remove, and how much of a stronger bag or sterile water to add. Choose which two stock bags to mix from. NUTRITION Add every source a baby is on: IV glucose, amino acids and lipid, breast milk, standard, preterm and fortified feeds. Running totals update as you type: GIR, kcal/kg/day and fluids in mL/kg/day, plus carbohydrate, amino acids and lipid in g/kg/day. NEW: enter feeds per feed (5 mL every 2 hours), as mL/kg/day, or as a daily volume. NEW: fortified milk and other feeds, using the energy and carbohydrate printed on the label. NEW: SET IT UP FOR YOUR UNIT Choose the peripheral line limit your unit uses: 10%, 12.5% or 15%. Tick the glucose stock bags you actually carry. Set breast milk energy, and the lipid emulsion and amino acid solution strengths. ALSO NEW Copy a summary of any calculation, ready to paste into the notes. Dark mode, following your phone or set by hand. Enter the weight once — the GIR and Nutrition screens share it. Results appear as you type, with no Calculate button. A two-pane layout on iPad, with inputs and results side by side. The formulas, thresholds and references the app uses are listed in Settings. Dextrose Calc supports clinical decisions but does not replace them. Always check results against your local guidelines before prescribing.

EP Calipers provides electronic calipers to measure intervals on images of electrocardiograms (ECGs) or electrophysiologic recordings. Doctors, nurses and medical technicians photograph and send ECGs to each other via email and messaging using smart phones and tablets. It is difficult and inaccurate to make measurements on these images with mechanical calipers. EP Calipers can be used to make accurate ECG measurements and do calculations such as determining mean heart rate and corrected QT interval. Angles such as the beta angle in Brugada syndrome can be measured as well. Analyze ECG images you photograph or store on your device, as well as PDF files, such as ECGs generated by the AliveCor Kardia™ device.

Dr. Goniometer is a tool whereby physiatrists, orthopaedists and physiotherapists can measure the movement angles of their patient’s articulations and store all related data. It is the only tool supported scientifically by comparative studies on real cases, as mentioned hereunder. The tool enables the management of patient records, measurement of patient articulation angles and storage of all related information to build up historical data bases for each articulation and movement. Measurement is by photographing the articulation and identifying the pictures taken with three separate markers. Picture taking is supported with perpendicular reference to ground level, iPhone alignment identification and patient central position referencing. These data come from Medical Literature suggestions for completing this type of reliable measurement (Cf. for instance, Dunlevy C. et al. "Procedural considerations for photographic-based joint angle measurements", Physiother. Res. Int. 2005; 10(4): 190-200). Dr. Goniometer has been used in recent studies – the publication of which is currently under way – that have identified reliability and measurement errors comparable to those of professional measurement tools (such as the Universal Goniometer, Isokinetic Tools Goniometer and the like). The study "A new iPhone-based Goniometer (Dr. Goniometer): a Validation Study", in particular, reports that various measurements on several patients were made simultaneously with professional tools and Dr. Goniometer. Measurements with the latter were repeated by different physiatrists and physiotherapists and results indicate comparable measurement errors for the Dr. Goniometer and other tools. In addition to the above, further features are also available through in-app purchase to: - computer browse all Dr. Goniometer data (such as patient records, measurements, photos and the like) and print any patient articulation record; - backup all Dr. Goniometer data on the computer; - use a previously created back-up to restore all Dr. Goniometer data on any iPhone (as in the event of iPhone replacement or application re-installation, for instance). - export all measures in a Excel file through iTunes File Sharing, connecting your iphone and PC through the USB cable. All the above features are available with no additional computer software required, just a common Internet browser; any operating system is supported, whether Microsoft, Apple, or others. The iPhone and PC used must be on the same WiFi network for computer and Dr. Goniometer connection. Should no WiFi connection be available, if the iPhone is be connected to a mobile network and the PC to the Internet, the iPhone and computer connection will be based on the settings of the mobile network in use. Dr. Goniometer ensures constant measurement tool availability and access to patient data bases. New measurements can always be made at each patient visit, with no need for constant patient record updating as completed measurements are stored automatically on the iPhone or PC used and are retrievable whenever needed.

The assessment of the parameters involved in spinopelvic jucture are of paramount importance for spine and joint replacement surgeon. The dynamic interplay between flexibility and balance around the axis of gravity determine the type and the amount of influence in spine and hips. Radiographic parameters to evaluate objectively the spinopelvic sagittal balance are Pelvic incidence (PI), Sacral slope (SS), Pelvic Tilt (PT), Lumbar lordosis (LL). Drawings in patients X-rays and precise measurements are important in order to quantify the magnitude of spinal deformities, to monitor the success or failure of treatment and thus optimise the management of patients according to the severity of the imbalance or even to identify patient at risk of degenerative spondylolisthesis or disk herniation. The Spinopelvic Balance App is medical software aimed for orthopaedic surgeons, providing tools that allow doctors to: -Securely import medical images directly from the camera or stored photos. -By marking few points at the image of X-ray, the App calculates and offers a very convenient way to determine the most accurate possibly way at once, Pelvic incidence (PI), Sacral slope (SS), Pelvic Tilt (PT), Lumbar lordosis (LL), thoracic kyphosis, PI–LL Pelvic incidence Angle (PI) minus Lumbar lordosis Angle (LL) PI–LL, theoretical normal pelvic tilt (tPT),theoretical normal L1-S1 lumbar lordosis (tL1S1), Pelvic Radius Angle (PRA). According to measured parameters the app categorises the severity of the imbalance of spine, in different stages: optimal or non optimal. -Save the planned images, for later review or consultation. The measured values are compared by normal reference databases and also data are exported as txt file, ready to print or to input as cells to excel for research. -The app allows choosing between simple and extended method according to everyday preference and also by choosing points in vertebra body in a independent manner from order. -The app can be used to measure L5 Incidence (L5I) Angle or L4 respectively. -The app offers theoretical value estimation this is particularly useful because a sensible difference between theoretical value and measured value reveals a compensation phenomenon if the pelvis tilt (PT) is higher than its theoretical value, then it is due to pelvis retroversion, which is a compensation phenomenon. Knowing the theoretical value of Pelvis Tilt (PT) provided it is easy to understand that a sensible difference between theoretical value and measured value is a compensation phenomenon. All information received from the software output must be clinically reviewed regarding its plausibility before patient treatment! Spinopelvic Balance App indicated for assisting healthcare professionals. Clinical judgment and experience are required to properly use the software. The software is not for primary image interpretation. In a busy everyday practice, the examiner have to draw lines in X-rays or in clinical settings, this it is time consuming and cumbersome. Accessory instruments like protractors, hinged goniometers, well sharped pencils, rulers or even transparent papers must be available. The app offers a very convenient and accurate way to perform most common radiographic measurements for spine, at the spinopelvic juncture in a blink of an eye in front of your screen. The build in feature of the app, allows results to be categorized may help decide what could be considered normal or pathologic. The app is not a simple goniometer, is an enhanced product which helps to monitor objectively the course of the treatment and evaluate optimally the spine. This App is particular useful in clinical settings where you need a quick results without losing time. Please see tutorial videos at the developer’s web  Reference  1.Nunes VR, et al.Spinopelvic balance evaluation of patients with degenerative spondylolisthesis L4L5 and L4L5 herniated disc who underwent surgery.Rev Bras Ortop. 2016 Sep 22;51(6):662-666.

DAF Pro helps people who stammer and people with Parkinson's slow down and speak more fluently. Put on headphones, speak, and hear your own voice a fraction of a second later. How It Works Delayed auditory feedback (DAF) is a clinically recognised speech therapy technique. Hearing your voice on a short delay naturally slows your speaking rate, which can make speech smoother and clearer. Research suggests DAF helps around 1 in 3 people who stammer, and it is also used to help people with Parkinson's control their speaking rate. Who It's For * People who stammer or stutter * People with Parkinson's disease * People with dysarthria * People who clutter * Speech and language therapists, for therapy sessions and home practice Features * Adjustable delay and pitch shift * Very low latency, so short delays stay short * Keeps working in the background and with the screen off * Record and play back your speech * Works with wired and Bluetooth headsets. Bluetooth adds extra delay that varies by headset, so wired headphones work best for short delays. Getting Started Put on headphones, set the delay to around 50–100 ms, press Start and speak. Then adjust until your speech feels slower and steadier. Built by a UK speech and language therapist. One-time purchase: no subscription, no ads, no account needed. Questions or feedback? Contact us at [email protected]

Mal alignment of the hip, knee, and ankle leads to premature cartilage damage and to development of degenerative arthritis of knee joint. Femoral and tibial osteotomies around the knee are established procedures for the restoration of the physiological load distribution of pressure at the knee joint. Accurate preoperative planning is mandatory to avoid under correction or overcorrection of axes or placing the joint-line in obliquity that ends to insufficient postoperative alignment. The majority of osteotomies are still planned and performed using conventional techniques drawing over transparent papers, cumbersome measurements etc. The app assists at preoperative correction planning by calculating : -the amount of correction preoperatively by calculating the dimension of wedge size , the correction angle and osteotomy gap opening or closing. -mechanical axis deviation (in mm) MAD, anatomical and mechanical femoral axes angle (aMFA),mechanical lateral proximal femoral angle (mLPFA), mechanical lateral distal femoral angle(mLDFA), joint line convergence angle (JLCA),mechanical medial proximal tibial angle (mMPTA), Mechanical lateral distal tibial angle (mLDTA), Hip Knee Ankle line (HKA) ,Mid joint line (MJL) orientation. -objectively the deviation or deformity in the frontal plane (varus or valgus) and differentiate the level of deformity (femoral and or tibial origin) and according to measured angles objectively suggest where indicated, medial or lateral, open or closed-wedge distal femur osteotomy or high-tibial osteotomy or double osteotomies and avoiding unwanted obliquity of the joint line App allows he surgeon to -change the planned mechanical axis to pass at the preferred percentage (Fujisawa point) after evaluation of the residual cartilage thickness left on the involved compartment. select the location of hinge point of correction osteotomy for planning of varus or valgus corrections -evaluate in real time the success of intended osteotomy by evaluating the kinematic alignment of the knee (KAO), avoiding residual joint obliquity or malalignment. -measure the correction angle adjusted due to ligament instability and preoperatively calculate the height of osteotomy gap opening. -pressing + or - button, one degree of correction is added or subtracted respectively and the second plane of osteotomy emerges and printed in screen real offering real time simulation of the wedge osteotomy in an instant to comprehend in real time what parameters are affected and modify favourably the correction angle. All above mentioned angles and all limp axes are redrawn and updated accordingly for the given new correction angle. The drawn schematic gives the impression of settings act as a whole interchangable interacting unit. - dynamicaly preview and easily predict potential intraoperative errors, that could emerge and choose the optimal degree of correction without disruption kinematic alignment of the limp. -to combine correction- Biplanar-, at coronal plane and sagittal plane (based on Hernigou 2001 calculations ) on tibia slope and provide the direction of the plane (ω angle) in which the osteotomy (open or closed) should be made ,the height the opening or closing wedge and the correction angle (Δ angle), -to simulate, before real bone cuts are done and try different strategies in relation to the location, the type of osteotomy, the joint obliquity without to redraw in paper board countless drawings in an effort to achieve the optimal correction and mean while taking into account and balancing all influencing preoperative factors. -real time dynamically change of mechanical axis lines, modify also the drawings of femur and the tibia and in instant depicting a precise preview of the whole preoperative plan for optimal results. -categorisation of the deformities based to international literature normal references values, help to indicate to user the type of osteotomy.

Instant Z-Scores For All The Paediatric Cardiology Parameters You Review Everyday. Cardio Z has been developed by the experienced Paediatric Cardiology team at Evelina Children's Hospital, London, UK in collaboration with the technology company UBQO. The application makes it easy to calculate Z-scores and centiles for the many cardiac and paediatric measurements that are made in normal clinical practice. Cardio Z distils a wealth of clinical research parameters into a single accessible format. Z–scores and centiles are a means of expressing how far a measurement is above (positive Z-score) or below (negative Z-score) the average for the size or age of a patient. They are particularly important in assessing and monitoring growing patients, from fetal life though to adulthood. Health professionals need to be able to access the normal ranges for cardiac parameters at every age and size, and cross-checking of measurements can be time-consuming and inconvenient. Cardio Z will prove invaluable for both clinicians working directly in Paediatric Cardiology, and those who work in other fields of Paediatrics. Cardio Z allows users to access Z-scores without the need for an internet connection, or the requirement to input the same data in multiple calculators. Users can define their own settings so that they can be sure that their use of z-scores is consistent over time, whilst still allowing flexibility for the experienced clinician. Comprehensive guidance is available ensuring that measurements are consistent with those of the original research, allowing valid comparisons. Cardio-Z creates a summary of all z-scores for each patient, which can then be saved, e-mailed or printed. Simple, reliable and time-saving. FULL LIST OF FEATURES: - Cardio Z allows calculation of z-scores of: - Height, weight, BMI and head circumference - Clinic blood pressure, with calculation of a user-defined 'target centile' blood pressure - Echocardiographic measurements of most cardiac structures, including valves, chambers, vessels and coronary arteries - Fetal echocardiographic measurements, using gestational age, femur length or biparietal diameter as size reference - M-mode echocardiography, including TAPSE - Pulsed wave velocities, including E/E' ratio and E/A ratio - Tissue Doppler velocities and time intervals. Including Isovolumetric Contraction Time (IVCT), Isovolumetric Relaxation Time (IVRT), Ejection Time and Myocardial Performance Index - Discriminant scores for neonatal aortic stenosis with borderline left ventricle - ECG parameters (2nd and 98th centiles) and corrected QT interval calculation EXTRA FEATURES: - Guidance tips for measurements, including diagrams and notes of the methods of the original researchers - Centiles, as well as z-scores, displayed for all parameters - No need to re-enter height and weight: baseline data only needs to be entered once - Generation of a .pdf summary which can be saved, e-mailed or printed - Saved patient Z-score summaries can be accessed and edited at a later date - Short-cut keys for frequently used parameters - Body surface area calculator can be defined to use the same algorithms as the original research - Cardio Z reduces the inconvenience of making Z-score calculations, and improves the correct application of this important clinical tool. The App is not a substitute for clinical judgement or institutional policies, thus it should complement and not replace normal procedures for making clinical decisions. We hope you enjoy using Cardio Z!

The OB Wheel Pro 7 is a professional tool that replaces the need for multiple apps and it greatly enhances the functionality of those worn-out cardboard wheels without compromise. The OB Wheel Pro 7 accurately determines the estimated delivery date (EDD), or due date, of a pregnancy based on the first day of a woman's last menstrual period (LMP), or from the date of conception, or from a known gestational age (GA) on a known date, e.g. from an ultrasound measurement, or from fetal biometry like Crown-Rump Length (CRL), Femur Length (FL), and BiParietal Diameter (BPD). Additionally, for appropriate gestational ages, The The OB Wheel Pro 7 estimates fetal weight and displays the number of days completed and remaining. The OB Wheel Pro 7, besides calculating GA from fetal ultrasound biometrics, enables clinicians to also calculate Estimated Fetal Weight (EFW) from FL, BPD, Head Circumference (HC), and Abdominal Circumference (AC) using the most appropriate published reference formula using the maximum and most appropriate parameters. Prenatal care providers know that there are key gestational ages where testing or interventions are needed. The OB Wheel Pro 7 lets providers see at a glance when these items should be scheduled.
