Lucky Dangle

Beschreibung

Choose a lucky charm and hang it from the top of your screen. It sways while you work, stays out of every click, and drops in when you call it. Lucky Dangle is a tiny museum for the edge of your Mac. Every charm is a real tradition, drawn by hand and hung with respect: the nazar boncuğu of Turkey and the Mediterranean, the hamsa, India's nimbu-mirchi and ghanta, South India's drishti bommai, China's páncháng jié, Japan's daruma and maneki-neko, the horseshoe, the Egyptian scarab, Finland's himmeli. Or hang any emoji you like. THE FEEL The cord is real rope physics. Grab the charm and throw it, and it swings back on its own. Clicks anywhere else go straight through to the window underneath; it never gets in your way. RITUALS Each charm has its own small ritual: ring the ghanta, wave the maneki-neko's paw, flare the scarab, cinch the knot, paint the daruma's eye. Flick a charm before the big demo. The nimbu-mirchi even dries over the week, like the real one at the door, and freshens when you ask. QUIET No Dock icon, no window in the way, just a small icon in the menu bar. Dangle and undangle with a keyboard shortcut. Send the charm behind your windows to hang over the desktop. Hang it at login if you like. PRIVATE No account, no subscription, no telemetry. It collects nothing and needs no internet. Made in Amsterdam by one person who grew up around charms like these.

Two charms of your own. Hang a photo print: a small instant print on a clip, with a handwritten note underneath, of anyone or anything you'd keep on your wall. Up to seven; the ritual hangs the next one. Or wear a photo locket, in heart, oval or rectangle, that opens on its ritual to show the one you carry close. Photos never leave your Mac. Hang from any display. Two screens? The menu now has "Hang from" so the charm lives on the one you choose, and comes home if that display is unplugged.
