Import MKV into Final Cut Pro without re-encoding the video. ClipReady turns MKV files from Blu-ray and DVD backups, plus MXF, AVCHD/MTS, and transport streams, into edit-ready MOV or MP4 files. Supported video stays untouched, timing and audio are prepared for Apple's media stack, and every result is validated before it is saved. KEEP THE PICTURE YOU ALREADY HAVE ClipReady copies supported H.264, HEVC, MPEG-2, and ProRes video instead of encoding it again. You avoid generation loss, an hours-long transcode, and a giant ProRes intermediate created only to make a file importable. FIX WHAT A BASIC REWRAP LEAVES BEHIND • Corrects the timestamp jitter that can make a 23.976 MKV appear as 23.81 in Final Cut Pro or Compressor • Restores verified soft-telecined 29.97 material to its 23.976 film cadence; mixed or hard telecine stays as detected • Converts high-definition surround audio Apple cannot decode to 24-bit PCM, while copying Apple-native tracks • Verifies surround layouts against Apple's own decoder so dialogue and effects reach the intended speakers • Preserves recovery-point indexing for responsive seeking and backward frame stepping in long-GOP media SEE THE PLAN BEFORE ANYTHING RUNS Every video, audio, and subtitle track shows Preserve, Convert, or Incompatible, with the reason. If a format cannot be carried safely, ClipReady says so instead of silently lowering quality.
