Beschreibung

Milometry is a mileage and fuel log that keeps itself. It records your drives automatically, lets you sort them with a swipe, and works out what your business journeys are worth. No account, no subscription, and no copy of your log on a server of ours. IT STARTS WITHOUT YOU Drive away from somewhere you parked and Milometry notices. It records the journey by itself and closes it once you have been still for a few minutes. Automatic recording needs location access set to Always. A phone can still stop apps working in the background; the app warns you when that happens. Prefer to start it yourself? Ask Siri, hold the app icon for a shortcut, or set up an automation that starts a trip when your car's Bluetooth connects. While it records, a Live Activity shows the running total on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. It starts and stops by itself, so there is nothing to touch while you drive. If it misses one, it usually notices. Milometry looks for gaps between the journeys it did record, checks your odometer readings against the log, and offers anything missing back to you. SWIPE, AND IT IS FILED New drives arrive as a deck of cards, each route drawn on the map so you can see which journey it was. Swipe right for business, left for personal. Name the office or a regular client once and journeys there sort themselves from then on. THE CLAIM ADDS ITSELF UP Business journeys are worked out at HMRC rates: 55p for the first 10,000 miles of a tax year, then 25p. The running total counts across every vehicle you drive, and a journey that crosses the threshold is split at the point it crosses. Carrying colleagues on a business journey? Add them to the trip, and if your employer pays the passenger rate, the extra 5p a mile for each one goes in too. SEE WHAT DRIVING REALLY COSTS Log a fill-up: how much went in, what it cost, and the odometer reading. Between two full tanks Milometry works out your real MPG, then prices journeys with what your car actually does rather than the brochure figure. Parking, tolls, congestion and clean air charges attach to the journey they belong to, with a photograph of the receipt kept beside them. PAPERWORK, READY WHEN YOU ARE A statement for every month and a running total for the tax year, made as you go rather than assembled in a panic afterwards. Export the log as a CSV, the claim as a PDF, or take a full backup. Coming from another app or a spreadsheet? Import a CSV, tell Milometry which column is which, and bring your history with you. MORE THAN ONE CAR Add every vehicle you drive. Each keeps its own fuel prices, its own economy and its own running costs, and each journey belongs to the one that made it. YOUR DRIVING STAYS YOURS There is no Milometry account and no Milometry server. Trips, routes, fill-ups, expenses and receipt photographs are held in your phone's own storage. There is no analytics and no advertising code in the app. Nothing is uploaded to us. Your log only goes where you send it: a folder in Files or iCloud Drive, a drive on your own network over WebDAV, or Google Drive. You choose the destination, and you can choose none. Maps and place names come from Apple. For another layer, lock Milometry behind Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. PAY ONCE One payment, at the price shown on this page. No subscription, no tiers, no adverts, nothing to cancel. BUILT FOR BRITISH DRIVERS Miles, real MPG, HMRC rates and the tax year the totals run on. Milometry also carries the rules for 11 other countries and reads in 6 languages, so it travels with you. Anywhere else, set your own rate or your company's scheme. Runs on iPhone and iPad. Claim figures are estimates, meant to help you keep an accurate record. They are not tax advice. Check anything that matters with HMRC or with your accountant.

Version 1.1.0 · 30.9.2026

Privacy and security. Your app data and the passwords for network drives are no longer visible in the Files app, and those passwords are now kept in the keychain. Reset now also clears export files, the diagnostics log and sync folders. Safer on the road. Milometry no longer asks you to start a trip as you pull away. Remind me is now called Ask me afterwards: it records the drive and asks whether to keep it once the drive is over. CarPlay asks business or personal once you have disconnected. Correct figures. Insights works out each tax year at that year's own rate, and schemes saved before this year's rate change now use the new rate too. Imported rows marked commute or non-business are no longer counted as business, and numbers such as 1,234 import correctly. Backups. A backup passphrase can now be set on the phone. Before, setting one failed without saying so. It now asks for the passphrase twice, to catch a slip before it seals your backups. Trips and claims. Merging two trips keeps the parking and tolls from both. The claim PDF and CSV show the rate paid on each trip, and the calculator's fuel estimate is right for schemes in kilometres. Precise Location. Milometry now warns when Precise Location is off, because without it the phone cannot notice you driving away. Tutorials. Settings, Help, Tutorials opens the guides on milometry.com, with short films. Accessibility. Buttons are labelled for VoiceOver, and text and controls have stronger contrast. Amounts in yen. Parking, tolls, fill-ups and standing costs entered in yen were stored a hundred times too large. They now show correctly, and existing figures are put right the first time the app opens. Belgium's rate is worked out by period from January 2024, and a rate published ahead of its start date now takes over on the day. Fixes to some other countries' rates and wording. Translations corrected in French, Spanish, German, Dutch and Japanese.
