Audio Meter VU

Beschreibung

Audio Meter VU shows your Mac's audio output on a real analog VU meter. The needle follows the IEC 60268-17 ballistics standard (reaching 99% in ~300 ms with a slight overshoot), moving with the smooth, musical motion of a real mechanical meter — not the jumpy motion of a digital peak meter. • Captures all system audio — Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, anything playing • No screen-recording indicator (uses a Core Audio process tap) • Follow playback: dims when it's quiet, wakes when sound starts • Fully vector-drawn dial, scale, needle and lighting — cream/amber glow, dual stereo • Toggle Always on Top or Pin to Wallpaper (both off gives a normal window) • Quick Reveal: rest the pointer at the bottom edge to bring the meter forward (optional, off by default) • Adjustable meter size, from 50% to 100% • Lightweight menu-bar app; window position remembered per display A modern rewrite of a 1995 app, faithful to true VU meter response.

You can now resize the meter. Use the new "Meter Size" slider in the menu to set it anywhere from 50% to 100% (100% by default). The meter resizes as you drag, and keeps its size the next time you launch it. The top-left corner of the meter stays put while you resize. The "Pause" menu item now reads "Stop" while the meter is running and "Start" while it is stopped, so the item itself tells you what it will do.
