How to Use - Open a video in Safari - Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, YouTube, or many other sites. - Click the Unbar icon in your toolbar or use shortcut (Opt + Z). - Watch as the black bars disappear, replaced by an immersive, full-screen masterpiece. - If Safari asks to allow a site, either answer works - Unbar behaves the same. Only a site you once chose to deny needs changing back, in Safari > Settings > Websites. - Fine-tune the framing with + and − , or press 0 to return to the default full-fill view. Works Wherever You Watch - Open a video anywhere in Safari, click the toolbar icon or press Opt + Z, and the black bars go away. The services named in the description are where Unbar is tuned, not the limit of where it runs. A few players build their video in a way Unbar cannot reach. Asks for Less Access - Unbar reads a page only at the moment you use it, on the tab you are watching. There is nothing to approve before you start, and no list of the sites you visit is kept. Updating also hands back the site permissions the previous version was holding. - On a few sites Safari may offer to always allow an address the page loads inside itself. Choosing Always Allow settles it for good and the prompt stops coming back. Unbar does not use that access either way - it reads only the page you invoked it on. Fixes - Turning Unbar off now says so on screen. - Going full screen keeps up with the player instead of flashing the unzoomed picture. - Coming back from full screen no longer leaves the video over-zoomed. - Improved stability
