You have friends around the world, you just haven’t met them yet. Couchsurfing is the best way to stay with amazing locals, make lifelong travel friends, or host travelers coming to your hometown. Find hosts in your next destination • Browse the millions of local hosts offering a place to stay in thousands of cities and towns • Stay with and meet locals and have an authentic travel experience • Explore accommodations options near where you are right now, or near your future destination Make New Friends • Discover thousands of fun events planned by other Couchsurfers in your hometown or in your next travel destination • Use Couchsurfing Hangouts to show you who’s nearby your current location and available to meet up right now Meet Travellers Without Traveling • Host or meet up with incoming travellers coming to your city • Can’t travel right now? Let new cultures and friends come to you And More • Easily create and manage a Couchsurfing profile • Manage your incoming or outgoing requests, messages, and more • Add pictures to document your travel adventures • See which of your Facebook friends also have a Couchsurfing account

Your chats just got a serious glow-up! Messages now show sent, delivered, and read status so you always know when your host or travel buddy has seen your note. Reactions come alive with fun animations, the text area smartly expands as you type, and sharing photos and files works like a charm again. The "more actions" menu has been refreshed too, and archiving a conversation no longer causes that jarring full-page reload. Explore the rest of the app and you'll find plenty more to love. The Library menu now includes a Profile Tour to help you put your best foot forward, and empty states for Guests, Events, Stays, and Trips now surface helpful carousels so you're never staring at a blank screen. A brand-new image viewer with smooth animations makes browsing photos a genuine pleasure. First time opening the app? A warm "Welcome" greeting will greet you for your first week. Settings got a sleek new modal, dates now display in your device's regional format, and sign-in errors are surfaced clearly so you're never left guessing. Under the hood we've upgraded our core framework, sped up the feed with smarter image loading, and squashed a handful of crashes—keeping your adventures (and your app) running beautifully.
