The controller with the eyes represents the neural network’s learning system. When the eyes are open, the system learns; when they are closed, learning is disabled. A long tap toggles learning on or off. Dragging vertically changes the learning rate, while dragging horizontally controls how strongly the winning neuron influences its neighbors. This influence is shown by the number of open eyes and the width of the pupils. While learning, the neural network visibly `swells`. When a new sound is analyzed, the neuron that best matches it updates its internal representation and `swells` more than the others. Nearby neurons also update, but less strongly, forming a smooth sound space inside the network. Two grids represent the two `hemispheres` of the neural network. Each cell corresponds to a neuron. Tapping a cell selects the neuron whose waveform will be used. An orange dot marks the selected neuron, and the curve above it shows the fragment of waveform stored by that neuron — the wavetable used to generate notes or modulate parameters. The controller with the planets manages memories. Dragging it moves through time and lets you browse stored states. A double tap returns to the present moment. A long tap opens a menu with three actions marked by Russian letters: `С` for save from sohranit, `У` for delete from udalit, and `З` for close from zakryt. The planet interface represents time symbolically. The crescent shadow shows the time of day, the moon’s position indicates the day of the month, and the satellite’s position represents the orbital period of an artificial body similar to the ISS. Below the neural grids are six synthesis sections. The first is marked with the Russian letter `Г`, from generator, and selects the oscillator waveform. Two sliders control the fundamental frequency and volume. The remaining sections provide modulation. Sliders control depth and rate, while letters indicate the destination parameter: `П` pitch from podstroika, `П` pan from panorama, `Д` drive from drive, `Ч` filter frequency from chastota, and `Р` resonance from rezonans. The slider with stars controls the filter. Dragging horizontally selects the filter type, while dragging vertically adjusts drive. The area to the right controls filter frequency and resonance. At the bottom of the interface is a keyboard of eight keys represented by Lissajous figures — curves created by combining two harmonic oscillations. Each figure corresponds to a note. Above the keys are two buttons: `У` hold from uderzhanie and `П` tuning from podstroika.

Gaussian Blur is a bloom reverb Audio Unit (AUv3) plugin. It splits incoming audio into overlapping grains and sends them into a plate-style reverb tail. You control how long the grains are, when they play, how much they blend together and how long they ring out. Use it to turn vocals into slow swells or smear guitar chords into ambient pads. CONTROL WHEN THE REVERB BUILDS The bloom curve spreads the grains out over time or bunches them around one moment. Drag the curve to move that moment earlier or later, so the reverb comes in right away or swells up seconds after the sound. • Bloom time from 20 ms to 5 seconds • Tempo sync, including dotted and triplet divisions SHAPE THE GRAINS Short grains chop the source into small pieces. Longer grains keep more of the original phrase. When they spread out and overlap, you get strange, alien spaces. • Grain Size: 20 ms to 1 second • Direction: blend forward and reversed grains for reverse reverb swells • Shimmer: shift some of the grains up an octave, or up fifths and octaves • Grain Tone: adjust brightness before the grains reach the reverb tail LONG DECAY AND RECIRCULATION Let a pluck ring out between notes, or stretch a chord into a pad that sits behind the next phrase. iVCS3 Official EMS VCS3 emulator The VCS3 was created in 1969 by Peter Zinovieff's EMS company. The electronics were largely designed by David Cockerell and the machine's distinctive visual appearance was the work of electronic composer Tristram Cary. The VCS3 was more or less the first portable commercially available synthesizer—portable in the sense that the VCS 3 was housed entirely in a small, wooden case. The VCS3 was quite popular among progressive rock bands and was used on recordings by The Alan Parsons Project, Jean Michel Jarre, Hawkwind, Brian Eno (with Roxy Music), King Crimson, The Who, Gong, and Pink Floyd, among many others. Well-known examples of its use are on The Who track "Won't Get Fooled Again" (as an external sound processor, in this case with Pete Townshend running the signal of a Lowrey Organ through the VCS3's filter and low frequency oscillators) on Who's Next. Pink Floyd's "On the Run" (from The Dark Side of the Moon) made use of its oscillators, filter and noise generator, as well as the sequencer. Their song Welcome to the Machine also used the VCS3. The bassy throb at the beginning of the recording formed the foundation of the song, with the other parts being recorded in response. The VCS3 was also a staple at the BBC’s Radiophonic Workshop, and was a regular (and most frightening) sound generator for the Dr Who TV series. FuzzWah - Vintage Fuzz & Auto-Wah Plugin (AUv3) FuzzWah is an audio effect plugin that can run standalone, or in any AU compatible host application such as Logic Pro or GarageBand. Overview FuzzWah combines two classic effects in one plugin that can be used independently or in series. The fuzz box and wah-wah pedal were among the earliest guitar effects pedals and remain very popular to this day. While I think FuzzWah does work great with guitar, it can also produce interesting results on pretty much anything from drums, synths and even vocals. FuzzWah wasn't designed to be a clones or models of specific hardware effects, but it does draw inspiration from those classic units from the 1960's and 70's, then adds a few extra features. The fuzz section includes an optional "Vintage" mode for a rounder warmer tone, and a Skew option for dialling in that classic gnarly fuzz "ripping" sound. The wah section adds 4 selectable frequency ranges, and an "Auto" (envelope-follower) mode for funky filter auto-wah effects! FuzzWah also includes a simple "set it / forget it" noise gate to keep your signal nice and clean. Signal Chain & Amp Sims The order of signal processing is as follows: IN -> Noise Gate -> Wah -> Fuzz -> OUT You can drive the Fuzz section harder using the Wah Boost parameter. Much like in the real world, I think fuzzes sound best when going into slightly driven amps, rather than into something pristine and clean. Of course, that's entirely up to you, depending on the sound you want, but my personal favourite amp sim combo is FuzzWah going into ANALOGyAMP.

Phase Garden takes the familiar sound of a phaser and lets it grow wild. Instead of relying on a single repeating sweep, Phase Garden uses three independent phaser voices moving together as a constantly evolving network. Each voice has its own modulation relationship, sweep behavior, feedback character, and stereo position. At restrained settings, Phase Garden creates smooth, dimensional movement that can add life to synths, guitars, pads, drums, vocals, and complete mixes. Increase Spread and the voices begin separating into a wider, more complex field. Add Drift and their relationships slowly evolve over time. Then there’s Wild. Wild introduces occasional controlled disturbances into the garden. A voice may change pace, alter its sweep, become more prominent, or temporarily move away from the others before settling back into the larger pattern. The result is phasing that doesn't feel locked to a perfectly repeating modulation cycle. Almost a year after the highly celebrated publishing of the first MagicDeathEye plugin, it is now time to present the “bigger brother” of Ian Sefchick’s first creation to the world: meet MagicDeathEyeStereo, a tube compressor with an integrated EQ circuit designed especially for all your mastering needs. We have taken everything we’ve learned from the first version and created a true emulation of what can only be described as a very fine piece of audio hardware. While similar in their overall signature sound, both products have their own dedicated areas of expertise: the “mono” version (well, not actually mono in plugin format) more on individual tracks, the stereo version to glue the whole mix together, with an even smoother compression curve, and lots of little goodies that will help you finalize your mix. The stereo compressor is two mono compressor circuits with some extras designed for mastering and buss compression duties. This new version has an added EQ section. There are two (boost only) bands with two frequency selections each. The EQ is worked into the Variable Mu tube gain structure. This means it is not before or after the compression section, it is within it! The EQ circuit is inductor based and has wide curves for giving program material that “little something”. There is also a two frequency low cut for tightening up out of control bass. The boost of the bands can be 5dB or 3dB split between 5 steps. I spent a lot of time shaping this EQ mastering everyday and fine tuning the components on the weekends. It sounds absolutely fabulous!
