Way more than a metronome, the Time Trainer adds five training tools to help you develop your own internal sense of time! This is an accurate and stable metronome (many metronome apps out there are not) and features: • tap tempo (to work out tempos by tapping a button), • countdown timer (for keeping your practice to schedule!) • many different sounds (you like cowbell, wood or xylophone?) • accent control (for odd time playing) • visual metronome movement with a flash on the beat • vibrate option (on each beat or just accent) ...but then we add to that with five training tools which will really help you develop your own time feel - essential for all musicians! • Bar Breaks • will mute the metronome for a bar or more forcing you to keep your time solid and be perfectly synchronized when the clicks return! This is a superb exercise and will really help develop confidence in holding your tempo. You can adjust how many bars are solid at the start then how many bars are solid and how many bars are muted which will cycle for the duration of the session. You can also select "random" mode and a % of bars (that you set) that will be dropped for an even more challenging practice session! • Random Beat Drop • does exactly what it says on the tin... some of the beats (clicks) will be muted at random, forcing you to be confident with your time and not rely on the click too much. Many people chase the beat or try and anticipate it, and this exercise will help you stop those bad habits! I've personally found that the "gradual" setting is most useful, a five minute session starting at 100% with more and more beats muted up to the % that you set. • Speed Up • is a tool I have wanted for years for my own practice so now I made one. Often when working on scales, arpeggios or licks you want to start at an easy speed where you are playing it 100% correctly and gradually push your technique by playing it faster and faster. With this tool you set a start tempo, end tempo and duration of you practice session and off you go, no more stopping to bump the bpm up a few notches every minute! • Step Upper • Many people requested that we make a programmable mode, most likely to be used to be able to move from one consistent tempo to another, rather than the gradual increase you get in the Speed Upper. You can program a tempo for X number of bars OR minutes :) • Subdivisions • Another heavily requested feature was to add in subdivisions for those that need to hear them, and for super slow tempo's where having subdivisions can be really helpful! TETSUO is a chaotic percussion machine. No samples, no library. One voice built out of a pitched body with noise dragged through it, a resonant filter that saturates the harder you lean on it, a bitcrusher, and a waveshaper that runs from a bit of weight to total structural failure. The sequencer is sixteen unseen slots and STEPS knob decides how many of them fire, adding and taking away hits one at a time in a fixed order, so you can strip a pattern to the bone and build it back and the same beats come home. The SKIP control works against you on purpose, stealing hits at random while it plays, so it never quite settles. MUTATE modulates the pitch at random, setting fire to voices on every turn. You do not program TETSUO so much as negotiate with it. The strip along the top is how you attempt to hold onto anything. Sixty four steps, four turns of pattern, carved into as many as eight sections. Select a section. Find a sound. Hit RECORD, and that section keeps every knob position. Change it, record the next, then hit PLAY and it walks left to right dropping each snapshot in as it reaches it, looping. Drag the dividers to give a section longer or cut it short. It keeps settings, not audio, so the engine is playing live the entire way through. Sections save with your presets and your session. AUv3 and standalone.

The controller with the eyes represents the neural network’s learning system. When the eyes are open, the system learns; when they are closed, learning is disabled. A long tap toggles learning on or off. Dragging vertically changes the learning rate, while dragging horizontally controls how strongly the winning neuron influences its neighbors. This influence is shown by the number of open eyes and the width of the pupils. While learning, the neural network visibly `swells`. When a new sound is analyzed, the neuron that best matches it updates its internal representation and `swells` more than the others. Nearby neurons also update, but less strongly, forming a smooth sound space inside the network. Two grids represent the two `hemispheres` of the neural network. Each cell corresponds to a neuron. Tapping a cell selects the neuron whose waveform will be used. An orange dot marks the selected neuron, and the curve above it shows the fragment of waveform stored by that neuron — the wavetable used to generate notes or modulate parameters. The controller with the planets manages memories. Dragging it moves through time and lets you browse stored states. A double tap returns to the present moment. A long tap opens a menu with three actions marked by Russian letters: `С` for save from sohranit, `У` for delete from udalit, and `З` for close from zakryt. The planet interface represents time symbolically. The crescent shadow shows the time of day, the moon’s position indicates the day of the month, and the satellite’s position represents the orbital period of an artificial body similar to the ISS. Below the neural grids are six synthesis sections. The first is marked with the Russian letter `Г`, from generator, and selects the oscillator waveform. Two sliders control the fundamental frequency and volume. The remaining sections provide modulation. Sliders control depth and rate, while letters indicate the destination parameter: `П` pitch from podstroika, `П` pan from panorama, `Д` drive from drive, `Ч` filter frequency from chastota, and `Р` resonance from rezonans. The slider with stars controls the filter. Dragging horizontally selects the filter type, while dragging vertically adjusts drive. The area to the right controls filter frequency and resonance. At the bottom of the interface is a keyboard of eight keys represented by Lissajous figures — curves created by combining two harmonic oscillations. Each figure corresponds to a note. One switch reroutes the whole matrix into a single closed FM loop across all eight voices. TOTAL FB feeds the post-distortion output back in, turning the entire instrument - envelopes, delay and drive included - into one giant FM structure. HYPER LFO Two LFOs combined by an AND/OR formula, plus a link that lets the first modulate the second. It drives the voice pairs and the delay. MOD DELAY AND DRIVE Two delay lines with cross-feedback, each with its own time and modulation depth. Times follow the Hyper LFO or the lines' own output. Push the feedback past halfway and the delay self-oscillates into an instrument of its own. Lo-fi and noisy by design, dirtier as the times stretch. A drive stage with parallel mix closes the chain. Uilleann is an authentic sounding 3/4 set of Uilleann pipes (Irish Bagpipes) chanter, drones, and two regulators in the form of a standard two octave piano keyboard and also supports hardware MIDI bagpipes chanters connect to a hardware MIDI interface. The app can also be used as a CoreMIDI sound module for MIDI file player apps. The app plays the four most common keys for the instrument of D, C#, C, and B. Touch the drone puck image to switch the drones on and off. Touch the keys to play the chanter notes. Touching in the upper half of the key plays the note at standard pitch. Touching lower on the key plays with the pitch proportionally lower to allow for pitch bending and vibrato effects Finger vibrato for expression, as is done on the real instrument, can be added by sliding back and forth along the length of the chanter keys. Low Poly Synth is a generator of melodic atmospheric sounds with billions of unique timbres. The app is built on modified synthesis algorithms from Fractal Bits, Relic Waves, and Relic Flow, with the addition of pure tone generation code. The sound space is divided into 4294967296 presets, each corresponding to a set of 8 sample textures. The volume of an individual sample can be adjusted in the top panel or via MIDI (Settings -> MIDI Mapping). The bottom panel is a classic musical keyboard that sets the note for the sounds in the set. Each note triggers all 8 samples at once - together they form a complex harmonic pattern that almost never repeats over time due to the different lengths of the looped fragments.
