You can store music on your device in two forms: iTunes music or audio file. The first would require syncing with iTunes on Windows or Finder on Mac. Not a phrase sampler, not a beat slicer: a real looper, built in the image of the pedal loopers and reel-to-reel tape systems that defined the form, then extended well past what hardware can do. Press one button and it records; press it again and you are looping. Up to five minutes of stereo audio, host-synced or free-running. The play and record heads are completely decoupled, each with its own through-zero speed control from -4x to +4x. Play backwards at half speed while overdubbing forwards at double, and things get strange in the best way. Four sectors give you separate loop regions to crossfade between and overdub within, and a built-in effects section (tape-style saturation and hiss, filters, and chorus) can sit in the feedback path so your loop ages like tape with every pass. Enso runs as an AUv3 plugin in your favorite host, and includes a standalone mode for sketching. iziCast is a versatile audio and video broadcaster. You can broadcast audio from the internal microphone, external audio devices, audio files and Audiobus compatible apps to Icecast, Shoutcast and RTMP servers.  Live video from your camera can be broadcasted to any RTMP compatible service, such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Telegram. Gaussian Blur is a bloom reverb Audio Unit (AUv3) plugin. It splits incoming audio into overlapping grains and sends them into a plate-style reverb tail. You control how long the grains are, when they play, how much they blend together and how long they ring out. Use it to turn vocals into slow swells or smear guitar chords into ambient pads. CONTROL WHEN THE REVERB BUILDS The bloom curve spreads the grains out over time or bunches them around one moment. Drag the curve to move that moment earlier or later, so the reverb comes in right away or swells up seconds after the sound. • Bloom time from 20 ms to 5 seconds • Tempo sync, including dotted and triplet divisions SHAPE THE GRAINS Short grains chop the source into small pieces. Longer grains keep more of the original phrase. A song can start on the phone's mic and leave the app as a mixed file. tape A take goes onto the armed track when you press rec. The speed fader runs from 0.25x to 2x and the pitch moves with it, so at half speed the whole song sits an octave lower. With loop on, each pass adds a layer over the last one. For recording alone there is a threshold on rec, and the take waits for the first sound. A tape holds ten minutes on four or six tracks, and each take becomes a region you can cut or reverse from the edit bar. A reversed region wears a small ◁. Dragging the tape, you feel a light tap at each ruler mark and a firmer one at bar numbers and region edges. A cut can be found almost without looking. With sources, one pass records several tracks at once. The synth can go to one track and your voice to another, or each channel of an audio interface to a track of its own. synth The synth has eleven engines, from drift, a slow swarm of detuned voices, to dx, a six-operator FM engine that loads .syx cartridges. Two more engines play samples. sample spreads one sound across the keyboard, and kit is a drum machine with 24 pads that take a file, the mic, a track from the tape or the sound of a video. The factory kits include an orchestral one with timpani and a junk one made of anvils, brake drums, a flexatone and a wine glass. On kit, chop slices one sound across the empty pads. The tape remembers which sound each track was recorded with, for the day you forget. seq keys only plays the notes of the scale, and chords puts a whole chord under each finger. How loud a note sounds comes from how the finger lands, read from the touch and the accelerometer, or from the pressure of an Apple Pencil. The sequencer has an arpeggiator and a 16-step mode, and the die re-rolls the pattern inside the scale, with one swipe to take the roll back. In ping, balls bounce between bells on a pool table, and every bounce plays a note. Fair warning, it is hard to stop watching. eucalyptus is a piano roll that loops until you print one pass of it to tape. mix The mixer has two effect buses with seven effects and room for any AUv3 effect you have installed. On tapesat, the age knob takes the tape from new to an old cassette, hiss and wow included. The master eq has four bands, drawn with a finger. plugin Inside a host such as AUM, the tape and the synth open as AUv3 plugins, TapeDesk: Tape and TapeDesk: Play. The tape plugin records when the host plays and takes up to six of its inputs. Whatever it records is waiting in the app afterwards. XAir Monitor Mixer is a personal monitor mixer for select Behringer and Midas digital mixers. It allows each musician on stage to choose exactly what they hear in their monitor without affecting (or being able to affect, even by accident) the band's main mix. XAir Monitor Mixer supports the Behringer X18, XR18, XR16, XR12, and the Midas MR18 and MR12. XAir Monitor Mixer deliberately does not include controls that would allow a musician on stage to accidentally mute channels or otherwise alter the main mix. Usage: 1. Connect to the same WiFi network as the XR18. In most cases, this should be enough for the app to find your mixer. However, if your sound engineer has changed the default address of the mixer, you'll have to enter that address in the app's connection screen. 2. Choose which monitor you want to mix. If your sound engineer hasn't named these in a way that makes it obvious which is yours, ask him which is yours. 3. Your vocal muscles are some of the most important muscles in your body, helping you communicate your thoughts, ideas and beliefs to your friends, family and workmates.
