File properties are colour coded: Green: "better" property (bigger file size, earlier date, etc.) Orange: both videos have same property Black: "worse" or not comparable property Prev and next buttons: cycle backwards and forwards through all matching files. Delete: Delete the video. Move: Move the video to folder of opposite side. Swap filenames: Change filenames between videos. Beware that a poor quality video can be encoded to seem better than a good quality video. Trust your eyes, watch both videos in a video player before making your decision of which file is better in your case. - Apple Photos specific information: If using iCloud photos, be sure to enable "Download Originals to this Mac" (Open the Photos app, Choose Photos > Preferences, Select iCloud, then click Download Originals to this Mac). Only videos that are downloaded to your device can be scanned. Instead of trash, if a duplicate is detected inside the Apple Photos library and is deleted inside our app, it will simply be added to an album within Apple Photos, so you can review them and delete them from within Apple Photos. Gyroflow Toolbox allows you to import Gyroflow Projects into Final Cut Pro.  Advanced gyro-based video stabilisation without the round-tripping! Gyroflow is a free and open source third-party application that can stabilise your video by using motion data from a gyroscope and optionally an accelerometer. Modern cameras record that data internally (such as Blackmagic, GoPro, Sony, Insta360 etc), and Gyroflow stabilises the captured footage precisely by using that data. It can also use gyro data from an external source, such as Betaflight Blackbox. Gyroflow Toolbox allows you to take the stabilised data from Gyroflow and use it within Final Cut Pro as an effect, so you don't have to export a ProRes from Gyroflow! You can even use this in conjunction with BRAW Toolbox (also on the App Store), to stabilise Blackmagic RAW files! To get started, simply drop your video clip from the Final Cut Pro Browser or Finder to the drop zone in the Final Cut Pro Inspector. You can also drop a Gyroflow Project. Sony, GoPro (Hero 8+), DJI, BRAW and Insta360 will be automatically synced when imported. Other cameras, such as RED, will require launching Gyroflow to synchronise. ScriptStar brings text-based editing to Final Cut Pro. It converts Final Cut Pro’s built-in transcripts into named favourite ranges on the same browser clips. This lets you see exactly what was said, instantly select it, and add it to your timeline. ScriptStar can also transcribe locally, on your Mac, in many languages, at no extra cost, with or without Final Cut Pro! Why do you need this? 1. Final Cut Pro v12 transcribes your source clips, which is useful, but you can’t see them directly, so have to know what to search for. 2. You can’t send transcripts to your clients, so they can tell you the parts of an interview they want to use. 3. Final Cut Pro only transcribes in English. ScriptStar solves all these problems at once: 1. Import your clips into a Final Cut Pro library as usual, and organize them into events if you like. 2. Launch ScriptStar, as an app, or from the Final Cut Pro Workflow Extension menu, then drag your Library into its drop zone. 3. If you like, choose the events you want to process, then proceed. 4. At this point you can replace any of the built-in transcripts by dragging in SRT files that match the names of any of your existing clips, or creating new transcripts in ScriptStar. This is great for foreign languages, or if you’ve had clips transcribed or edited by humans. Your data never leaves your Mac, and you can choose between different transcription models and control line length of ScriptStar's output. (Want one-word SRT files? No problem.) 5. Save these, send them to clients, and just ask them to highlight any lines they really like or really hate. 7. Back in Final Cut Pro, look for the events with the star in the name, and twirl each clip’s disclosure triangle to see every line of transcribed dialogue. Select the lines you want and drag or tap E to add them to a timeline. Final Cut Pro’s search still works, but if you want to search through the transcribed favorites, choose Favorites in the Clip Filtering menu in the Browser, to see each line on its own. Transcripts are usually pretty accurate, and because pauses aren’t transcribed, you can skip the pauses by selecting all the favorites and adding them to a timeline. ScriptStar can also be used independently of Final Cut Pro. You can drag in audio and video files from the Finder, then transcribe them as usual. Nōtan is a Japanese design concept involving the play and placement of light and dark elements next to the other in the composition of art and imagery. The Yin Yang symbol is an example of this design philosophy. The use of Nōtan in art composition is a powerful tool to help the artist identify the structure of the light and dark portions of the image they want to incorporate into their project. The first function simply divides the image into black and white with colors above the set value being white and those below being black. You can then use the slider to move that line to enhance detail that may otherwise be obscured. The second and third functions displays the image in either a grayscale or color so the artist can focus on the structure and design of the image. The next 3 functions are Levels. They set either 3, 4, or up to 10 levels of color spread over black, gray and white pallets. The 3 and 4 levels have sliders to adjust where those levels are while the Levels function just evenly divides the image by the number of levels. Finally the last function is Slice. It allows you to select a small range of values and highlight those in black and everything else white. And as of version 3.1 you can now invert the display of each of the filters. Lighter values have been displayed in white, but now you can invert them to see those in black which can really help bring out detail. And of course, share your image in many ways. Any artist will benefit from seeing their work in a different light. NotanIzer is that light.
