SiteSucker is a Macintosh application that automatically downloads Web sites from the Internet. It does this by asynchronously copying the site's webpages, images, PDFs, style sheets, and other files to your local hard drive, duplicating the site's directory structure. Cut and paste files and folders in Finder using Command+X and Command+V. Without this app, you have to first copy (Command+C) and then remember to move (Option+Command+V). You simply set up the app once and it runs in the background. The moving of files and folders are handled by Finder. The app just intercepts cut and paste commands when Finder is in the front and then simulates copy and move commands. If you don't paste after cutting, nothing happens and the files stay in place. It also works with the ForkLift app. Limitation: You cannot cut the name of a file when editing a filename in Finder or cut when using the search field. There is no way for the app to work around this.

Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag. It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality. Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. Search Beyond The Spotlight Unhappy with Spotlight because it does not find files that you know to be there? Use FAF to find every file on your disks, including those usually hidden. By file name, date, size, and even plain text content (including RTF, Word and Excel files, but not PDF files – see note below). • Recover a file whose name you partially remember? • See what files got changed in the past 5 minutes? • Find all the largest files on your disk? • Uninstall software that leaves files in hidden places where Spotlight doesn't look? • Search with regular expressions? Find Any File (FAF) is the perfect tool for these tasks. You can even search on disks that are not indexed by Spotlight, including network server (NAS) volumes. Find Any File can find files that Spotlight doesn't, e.g. those inside bundles and packages, and inside system folders that are usually excluded from Spotlight search. Contrary to Spotlight, it does not use a database but instead searches the data on disk directly. This lets you search for file properties such as name, creation and modification dates, file size, even plain text inside files, but also makes it slightly slower. However, since FAF now includes Spotlight results where possible, you'll still get such results as quickly as with Spotlight search in Finder. Another useful feature is its hierarchical results view (see screenshots). It lets you view the found items within their respective folders, making it often much easier to browse through 100s of found items. •• Note about text search inside files ••   FAF can search file content only in plain (unformatted and RTF) and in zip-compressed text files (as used by Word and Excel for instance), and with less freedom than what Spotlight search offers in this regard. QuickNFO is a simple viewer application for .nfo files. In contrast to other nfo viewers, QuickNFO does not require font files or anything else to be installed. The nfo text can be exported as HTML or unicode TXT, so it can be viewed on machines that don't have QuickNFO installed (via the File -> Save To command). In addition, QuickNFO provides a QuickLook plugin that previews the file contents directly from the Finder.
