Tenuto is a collection of 24 highly-customizable exercises designed to enhance your musicality. From recognizing chords on a keyboard to identifying intervals by ear, it has an exercise for you. Tenuto also includes six musical calculators for accidentals, intervals, scales, chords, analysis symbols, and twelve-tone matrices. Are you a cellist or composer who is asking: WHERE do I put my finger, and on which string, to produce ‘C-sharp two octaves above middle C’ as a natural harmonic? WHAT is the pitch of the 11th harmonic on the A string? Are there some multiphonics that include the 7th and 11th harmonics on the G string, WHERE do I play them? Is there a multiphonic that includes the notes A-sharp, D, and F, WHAT does it sound like and HOW can I notate it? Cello MApp has the answers! First, choose whether you want to explore cello harmonics or cello multiphonics. Then, use the smart search system to choose your starting point (pitch result, note name, string, left-hand position, harmonic number). Continue to add ‘branches’ to this starting point to filter out options. The filtering system will find a result (or several alternative results) and provide you with notations, audio examples, and videos. Chord! is a chord and scale reference that works with any fretted instrument like guitar, basses, ukulele, banjos,… It computes and analyses all the possible fingerings for chords, scales, and arpeggios. With Chord!, you can also write a song by simply dragging and dropping chords, transpose it in any key, compute the fingerings with any tuning and generate a beautiful print-ready PDF, etc. You can also import your existing songs in text format (please note that the app does not ship with songs). You can also link audio tracks from your music library and play them at the same time while adjusting their pitch and/or speed. You don't even have to know music theory to use it: behind its brute force, the app knows how to handle by itself some subtleties of music to give meaningful results. If you don't have to be an advanced player to use the app, you can however take a look under the hood and tweak the parameters if you like!
