iVCS3 Official EMS VCS3 emulator The VCS3 was created in 1969 by Peter Zinovieff's EMS company. The electronics were largely designed by David Cockerell and the machine's distinctive visual appearance was the work of electronic composer Tristram Cary. The VCS3 was more or less the first portable commercially available synthesizer—portable in the sense that the VCS 3 was housed entirely in a small, wooden case. The VCS3 was quite popular among progressive rock bands and was used on recordings by The Alan Parsons Project, Jean Michel Jarre, Hawkwind, Brian Eno (with Roxy Music), King Crimson, The Who, Gong, and Pink Floyd, among many others. Well-known examples of its use are on The Who track "Won't Get Fooled Again" (as an external sound processor, in this case with Pete Townshend running the signal of a Lowrey Organ through the VCS3's filter and low frequency oscillators) on Who's Next. Pink Floyd's "On the Run" (from The Dark Side of the Moon) made use of its oscillators, filter and noise generator, as well as the sequencer. Their song Welcome to the Machine also used the VCS3. The bassy throb at the beginning of the recording formed the foundation of the song, with the other parts being recorded in response. Overview FuzzWah combines two classic effects in one plugin that can be used independently or in series. The fuzz box and wah-wah pedal were among the earliest guitar effects pedals and remain very popular to this day. While I think FuzzWah does work great with guitar, it can also produce interesting results on pretty much anything from drums, synths and even vocals. FuzzWah wasn't designed to be a clones or models of specific hardware effects, but it does draw inspiration from those classic units from the 1960's and 70's, then adds a few extra features. The fuzz section includes an optional "Vintage" mode for a rounder warmer tone, and a Skew option for dialling in that classic gnarly fuzz "ripping" sound. The wah section adds 4 selectable frequency ranges, and an "Auto" (envelope-follower) mode for funky filter auto-wah effects! FuzzWah also includes a simple "set it / forget it" noise gate to keep your signal nice and clean. Signal Chain & Amp Sims The order of signal processing is as follows: IN -> Noise Gate -> Wah -> Fuzz -> OUT You can drive the Fuzz section harder using the Wah Boost parameter. Much like in the real world, I think fuzzes sound best when going into slightly driven amps, rather than into something pristine and clean. Of course, that's entirely up to you, depending on the sound you want, but my personal favourite amp sim combo is FuzzWah going into ANALOGyAMP.

MultiComb turns a bank of moving comb filters into a playable sound-design effect. Four independent comb voices create shifting resonances across the stereo field, each moving with its own timing, spacing, and character. Smooth modulation keeps the bank alive while Bite introduces stepped sample-and-hold disturbances that push individual combs into new resonant relationships. The result can move from hollow coloration and subtle animation to metallic ringing, mechanical movement, fractured resonance, and unstable tonal textures. MultiComb works across drums, vocals, pads, guitars, percussion, and full electronic textures—but it especially comes alive on leads, basslines, arpeggios, plucks, and other short-note sequences. Bite introduces independent stepped disturbances across the comb bank. At restrained settings it adds little irregular catches and tonal shifts. Phase Garden takes the familiar sound of a phaser and lets it grow wild. Instead of relying on a single repeating sweep, Phase Garden uses three independent phaser voices moving together as a constantly evolving network. Each voice has its own modulation relationship, sweep behavior, feedback character, and stereo position. At restrained settings, Phase Garden creates smooth, dimensional movement that can add life to synths, guitars, pads, drums, vocals, and complete mixes. Increase Spread and the voices begin separating into a wider, more complex field. Add Drift and their relationships slowly evolve over time. Then there’s Wild. Wild introduces occasional controlled disturbances into the garden. A voice may change pace, alter its sweep, become more prominent, or temporarily move away from the others before settling back into the larger pattern. The result is phasing that doesn't feel locked to a perfectly repeating modulation cycle. Almost a year after the highly celebrated publishing of the first MagicDeathEye plugin, it is now time to present the “bigger brother” of Ian Sefchick’s first creation to the world: meet MagicDeathEyeStereo, a tube compressor with an integrated EQ circuit designed especially for all your mastering needs. We have taken everything we’ve learned from the first version and created a true emulation of what can only be described as a very fine piece of audio hardware. While similar in their overall signature sound, both products have their own dedicated areas of expertise: the “mono” version (well, not actually mono in plugin format) more on individual tracks, the stereo version to glue the whole mix together, with an even smoother compression curve, and lots of little goodies that will help you finalize your mix. The stereo compressor is two mono compressor circuits with some extras designed for mastering and buss compression duties. This new version has an added EQ section. There are two (boost only) bands with two frequency selections each. The EQ is worked into the Variable Mu tube gain structure. This means it is not before or after the compression section, it is within it! The EQ circuit is inductor based and has wide curves for giving program material that “little something”. There is also a two frequency low cut for tightening up out of control bass. The boost of the bands can be 5dB or 3dB split between 5 steps. I spent a lot of time shaping this EQ mastering everyday and fine tuning the components on the weekends. It sounds absolutely fabulous!

LoopBud is a super simple yet very powerful MIDI recorder and looper. You can work with unlimited patterns. Although the 4-bar loops are very fun, you can work with an unlimited number of bars on each pattern! LoopBud has two record modes, Add mode and New mode. The "add mode" keeps adding new notes on each loop-cycle. The "new mode" clears out the previous recording and lets you record freshly on each cycle. You can work very fast with those modes. If you make a mistake, don't worry, you can use the "undo" option and get everything back! LoopBud has quantization enabled by default. You can toggle quantizing by pressing the "quantize" button on the top-left side. You can also set the level of quantization from the settings menu. If you want to speed up or slow down the clock, you can do so by pressing the "clock" button on the top-left side. You can achieve different effects on your live performances without a new recording. You can also focus on a single bar by pressing the bar measure on the top. You can either record or loop a single bar - which is a unique feature of LoopBud. In the settings menu, you can edit the piano roll's lowest and highest notes. The notes on the piano roll is not editable. However, you can export MIDI from the settings menu, and do editing on your favorite piano roll editor app! LoopBud is not an audio app, it's a MIDI app. You need to connect a MIDI input and a MIDI output for LoopBud to work. You can do so from the settings menu in the standalone app. You can use the MIDI matrix editor on your DAW if you are using the AUv3 plugin. LoopBud also supports Ableton Link on the standalone app.
