ABOUT Lithuanian for Beginners is great at helping students of all ages to pick up language listening, reading and vocabulary skills quickly and naturally by engaging visual, listening and touch senses. It is also an excellent way to speed up language learning beyond traditional courseware like textbooks and of great help for educators to accelerate motivated learning by students. The course is made of 10 lessons (topics), each of them helping to grasp new words, expressions and grammar usable in daily live, overseas trips and classroom environments for all generations of beginner level learners. You can see all the topics on the first page of the app. The app teaches you around 315 new words and expressions. WHAT'S COVERED IN EACH LESSON? L'IDE presentava un messaggio iniziale con il contenuto di memoria libera ed in basso un promemoria dei comandi associati ai tasti funzione del computer. Fino agli anni sessanta del XX secolo i computer erano ingombranti, estremamente costosi e difficili da programmare. Erano acquistati da industrie, istituti governativi o università. Data la loro scarsa potenza elaborativa, i linguaggi di programmazione erano orientati alla massima efficienza sacrificando la facilità di scrittura del codice e la sua leggibilità. Questi fattori, uniti alla difficoltà di poter accedere ad un computer, relegavano l'uso di queste macchine a poche persone e per particolari compiti. Nel 1959 anche l'università di Dartmouth acquistò un proprio computer, un LGP-30, affidato al reparto informatico sotto la direzione di Kurtz. Gli utenti non potevano avere un accesso libero alla macchina ma dovevano inserire i loro programmi nel sistema che li eseguiva poi nell'ordine in cui li aveva ricevuti. Dall'inserimento all'ottenimento dei risultati poteva quindi passare un discreto lasso di tempo (ore ma anche giorni). Per ovviare a questo problema Kemeny e Kurtz iniziarono a sviluppare un sistema di timesharing per poter consentire l'accesso a più utenti contemporaneamente e l'esecuzione di più programmi simultaneamente. Per permettere ciò l'università acquistò anche un nuovo computer, un GE-235, e 30 terminali GE Datanet-30 che furono dislocati in vari ambienti di Dartmouth grazie ai quali gli studenti potevano inserire i loro programmi nell'unità centrale in modo rapido e semplificato. Il sistema supportava inizialmente anche altri linguaggi come il FORTRAN e l'ALGOL ma Kurtz e Kemeny studiarono un altro linguaggio che fosse più semplice da imparare e di uso generale sviluppando così il BASIC (Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code).[3] Negli anni seguenti, con il nascere di diverse versioni del linguaggio, il BASIC sviluppato originariamente da Kemeny e Kurtz fu indicato come Dartmouth BASIC. Con gli anni il BASIC ha subito notevoli evoluzioni e cambiamenti, diventando un linguaggio strutturato con potenzialità molto simili a quelle di altri linguaggi più evoluti. Le numerose versioni attuali del BASIC affiancano ai concetti originari nuovi concetti, quali la gestione degli oggetti, la ricorsività, la strutturazione: vedi ad esempio il Visual Basic o il REALbasic.Oggi è stato quasi completamente soppiantato a favore del più efficiente linguaggio assembly, ma viene ancora utilizzato per le applicazioni lente, di fatto sin dal momento della nascita ha avuto da sempre un problema: la scarsa velocità di sistema.

SatTracker is designed for real-world prediction of Earth-orbiting satellite ground tracks. It is very accurate and, with fresh sets of orbital elements downloaded from within the application, it will keep that accuracy indefinitely. It provides ground tracks for multiple satellites, like some other applications, but unlike any others, it will compute visibility for multiple ground stations. SatTracker has been used during real satellite operations at the European Space Operations Centre, ESOC, in Germany! SatTracker uses the SGP4 algorithms which are ideally tuned to the publicly-available orbital elements and, as a result, generates the most accurate orbits possible with these orbital elements. As well as ground tracks, SatTracker calculates daytime, twilight and nighttime regions as well as calculating when each satellite is in sunlight so that it is visible – assuming there’s no cloud. To help with this, SatTrackerBasic can also display global cloud cover updated hourly (though this requires a paid subscription to a third-party data-provider). The various items which can be plotted are configurable, and so is the representation. The map can be displayed in two map projections: a simple rectangular projection or as a pair of azimuthal projections centred on the North and South poles. Powerful database functionality is built-in to allow the management of thousands of satellites and ground stations. This is a sound or signal generator with one oscillator. It can play customisable wave form so you control the number, direction, amplitude and sharpness of the peaks. This instrument clearly demonstrates the physics of the sound and most importantly you can see that humans do not hear frequencies but amplitude acceleration (or peak sharpness). Also the peak position or direction inside the sound wave has no impact of human perception for the sound. You can even hear 0.2Hz sound of the peak is sharp enough and the frequency (self repetitiveness) of the signal is not actually meaningful for our ears. In nature there are no perfectly repeated waves and the sound has more free wave nature so what is important fo our sound recognition abilities is the peaks sharpness and the number and amplitude of those peaks :) Frequency domain and FFT for music can’t be more wrong and misleading. So work in time domain and handle those peaks to move the science and music ahead! The app can be used for physics, music or sound, education or what ever.
