Secta is an audio effect that dynamically splits incoming audio in two sections and processes each with an exclusive kit of effects, sculpting silence, shaping accents and amplifying hidden details, guiding each layer into a parallel sonic dimension.  A sound-designer (unforeseen) dream. Secta is part of totem/ series by K-Devices: unconventional audio effects coming in a compact format, easy to use, at a lower, convenient price. Building on the concept of a multidimensional gate, Secta processes the audio in a unique way, adding an ephemeral and dramatic touch to acoustic instruments, warmly disintegrating loops, injecting abrupt drops and re-texturizing your lines, or throwing down any beat into a dark path of fragmentation. Hard-to-describe with classic effect categories, Secta processes both sides of a gated source independently, acting as a counterpoint amplitude sculptor.
  Secta cuts to (re)generate.  Secta is a colorizer, no mix parameters are available: just load Secta onto your track and let it inspire you with its timbrical shades.  A gate, a dynamic multi-distortion, a double headed tectonic monster, a trembling detuned textures generator, and more… so many uses of Secta have yet to be discovered! HOW IT WORKS At first, Secta splits the incoming signal acting as a gate effect: the user sets an amplitude threshold using the Verge and Boost parameters. The signal’s amplitude portion greater than the threshold value generates an envelope which controls the Above and Below sections. The envelope itself controls the frequency of a lowpass filter in the Above section (resulting similar to a lowpass gate), while its inverse value controls the amplitude of the Below section. Such envelope can be shaped using several global parameters: Smooth, Retain, and S/C. Above and Below sections process sounds using a different set of effects each: the more rumbling Above, the more textural and looney Below. Using one section at a time holds interesting sculpting results, while combining and balancing them is great for creating richer textures. With SonoSequencr you can create individual sequences to perform recurring tasks with just one click. If you have multiple Sonos devices and want to play a radio station on all of them, it takes some time to set this up. With SonoSequencr, all you have to do is open the app and tap your previously created sequence. You can lock your iOS device or use another app while your sequence is running in the background. Of course, you can also start it from the widget (The Today widget is only available up to and including iOS 17), Apple Watch or using Flic Buttons. Here are some examples: - Group kitchen and dining room, set volume to 5, start a radio station and set a sleep timer to 2 hours - Switch your Playbar in the living room to the TV input, set the volume to 40, add dining room and set the equalizer settings for both devices to neutral - Disable the subwoofer and enable voice enhancement + night mode on the Playbar in the living room - Set the equalizer settings for all your devices to specific values - Disable touch on speaker and enable status light for all your devices - Set the volume of the kitchen and living room to the same value as in the dining room - Make an announcement with your individual text in the children's room - etc... You can only use music (radio streams/tracks/albums) for your sequences that are stored in your Sonos Favorites (My Sonos) or in your TuneIn radio stations. The Timed Sequences feature is only available with an optional in-app purchase 'Premium'. With this automatically renewing subscription, up to 20 sequences can be run at freely configurable times. VU950 FX is an AUv3 effect plug-in built around a gritty 12-bit DSP model, designed to bring classic sampler-style tone shaping directly into your iOS music host. At its core, VU950 FX combines sample-rate reduction, 12-bit DAC character, input drive, bass and presence coloration, noise, and an anti-aliasing filter that naturally closes as the sample rate goes down. You can keep that authentic behavior, or edit the AA Filter manually to fine-tune how dark, crunchy, clean, or aliased the sound becomes. Use RATE to set the modeled sample rate, from cleaner high-bandwidth processing to darker low-rate texture. Use FILTER to shape the main tone filter from wide open to heavily rolled off. Use CHANNELS to choose whether the left or right input channel becomes the focused mono source. The jog wheel edits the active RATE or FILTER page. ON/+ and OFF/- switch the selected channel when CHANNELS mode is active. The top knobs give you direct control over AA Filter, Input Drive, and Output Gain, so you can push the DSP model harder, tame the final level, or dial in just the right amount of anti-aliasing response.
