Whitetail Deer Calls is very simple and easy to use to call whitetail deer. There are several vocalizations that have been identified by researchers which define deer sounds and what they mean: Alarm Call When fawns or young doe are captured by predators, they make a groaning or bleating sound, which serves as a warning call of danger. The Maternal Call This is a low grunt a whitetail doe makes to communicate with her baby and fawns often respond with a mew-like sound. Fawns will also bleat to get attention from the mother. Reproduction Bucks make this sound while pursuing the does. They also love to grunt, in order to show off to other rival bucks. The time period when these sounds are primarily made is called the rut. These sounds can also vary depending on the species of deer. Some smaller to medium-sized species of deer, like the North American Whitetail, make a recognizable sound that is not extremely loud. With that being said, other species like the Argentina Red Stag and North American Elk, which are much larger, make extremely loud, distinguishable mating calls that can be heard for miles” Doe Grunts A doe will grunt in order to locate her family or call in her young. A doe grunt is the doe’s way of saying “Come here”. Bucks make a much deeper grunt and it can mean exactly the same thing as what the doe is saying with her grunt. The tending grunt is a reproduction call the buck makes while chasing the doe. Buck Bawl This is simply a bawl they make, whenever they are lonely and want company. It can also be a succession or series of bawling vocals until the company is obtained. There is also, what is referred to as a ‘rage grunt’ the buck makes during mating season. It makes this when the doe stops but refuses to mate. This is a non-aggressive grunt though and shows frustration on the part of the buck. Bucks will make aggressive sniffs or wheezes, at times, to intimidate other rival bucks. The doe will often bleat as her breeding time is nigh and she may also do a breeding bellow, which states that the breeding time is now! Researchers in the wild have learned a lot about deer and the ways they communicate with each other. Many years ago, the Natives communicated with whitetail deer, mule deer, as well as all of the deer, here in North America. As the settlers came to settle, old ways of learning about animal communication died down, until the 1990s, when hunters began deer calling and studying whitetail deer more in-depth. Moose-Bull DESCRIPTION Moose are the largest members of the deer family, standing six feet (1.8 meters) tall from hoof to shoulder, and weighing in at more than 1,000 pounds (450 kilograms). Each of their light to dark brown hairs is hollow, and the air trapped inside provides insulation. A flap of skin called a dewlap hangs from the throat. Males are distinguished from females by their antlers, which grow up to six feet across.

 RANGE
 Moose are found in the northern regions of the United States, from Maine to Washington, throughout Canada, and into Alaska. Due to their large size and insulating fur, moose are limited to cold climates. Forested areas with streams and ponds are ideal moose habitat. Adult moose use their antlers or hooves to defend themselves from predators like bears and wolves. The much smaller calves are easier for predators to take down, and many of them fall victim to predation before reaching their first birthday. Moose also suffer from a predator of another sort, parasitic brain worms. White-tailed deer are carriers of the parasite, but it has no effect on them. When deer defecate, the brain worms are transferred from their waste to land snails. When moose unknowingly eat the snails while foraging for food, they ingest the parasite.

 DIET
 Moose are herbivores. The word “moose” is an Algonquin term meaning “eater of twigs.” Moose are so tall that they have difficulty bending down to eat grasses, so they prefer to feed on leaves, bark, and twigs from trees and shrubs. Their favorite foods come from native willow, aspen, and balsam fir trees. They also munch on aquatic plants from streams and ponds. 

LIFE HISTORY
 Male moose, called bulls, begin to grow antlers in springtime to prepare for the autumn mating season. Large, mature bulls with well-developed antlers usually get to mate with the female moose, called cows. When bulls are competing for the same cow, they may use their antlers to fight off their opponents. After the mating season, bulls drop their antlers. They regrow them again in the spring. The young calves stay with their mothers for a year before venturing off to live a solitary lifestyle. Moose can live more than 20 years in the wild, but many begin to suffer the symptoms of old age before then. A more typical lifespan is 10 to 12 years.

 Make sure you can properly identify elk and moose in the field. These tips will help you know the difference when you head out on your hunt. Moose and elk often share the same habitats, leading to confusion. Still, there are several key differences that hunters can see to identify between the two. - Bull Moose Color – darker and will not have the lighter coloring on the rump like - Bull Elk Color – Reddish or Lighter Brown Coat - Moose are the largest animal in Colorado and grow significantly larger than elk. A bull moose can grow to be 6 to 7 feet tall at the shoulders and weigh more than 1,000 pounds. A bull elk, meanwhile, is typically 4 to 5 feet tall and around 600 pounds. - Elk have a reddish or lighter brown coat, while a moose coat is significantly darker and will not have the lighter coloring on the rump like an elk. - Moose antlers will grow out of the sides of the head. - Elk antlers grow backward over their bodies. - Moose Calf – Round Nose - Elk Cow – Narrow, Pointed Nose Important Notice: Be sure to abide by all of your states hunting laws. You can also calculate the ceiling and maximum depths along with your END based on your planned mix. The dive planning tools support both salt water and fresh water calculations. The blending tools provide for filling a cylinder with a remaining mix (or empty) to a specified target mix using oxygen, helium and a topping mix (air or another available mix). You can also calculate the result of topping an existing partially filled cylinder with a specific topping mix (air or another available mix). There is also a Bleed Down calculator that allows you adjust an existing full or partially full cylinder to a new mix with minimal wasted gas. Keep track of your players' time on the field with Coach's Clock. Designed with input from a youth soccer coach who manages multiple teams each season, Coach's Clock is a very simple application that runs on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. It keeps track of all of the players on your team, where they are supposed to be on the field, and how long they've been playing since they were last substituted into the game. Just enter in your team name and your player roster. Drag your players on and off the field and tap the clock to start it running. Players on the field accrue elapsed time. Players off the field do not. It's that simple.
